Rainy Day Fun!

Stats- TREADMILL RUN
1 mile/10:08
Average pace- 10:08

Yep...another treadmill run this morning due to thunder. But at least I'm keeping the @RWRunStreak alive! Same old boring run this morning...one mile with music in my ears and closed captioning on the tv. Only today the closed captioning was in another language! Looked like German lol! I tried to pick out words and guess their meanings but no luck!  I am super tired of the treadmill!  I want to run outside!  If the thunder and lightning would just stop I don't mind running in the rain!  I want to run at least 3 miles tomorrow...fingers crossed I can run it outside!  As of right now the forecast says only a 30% chance of rain so I'm hoping that's a good sign!

I'm also hoping this rain clears out for my son's first T-Ball practice tonight!  Sawyer hasn't played any sports yet (he will be 5 in August) and is super excited about T-Ball!  Hayden (he will be 7 in July) played soccer when he was 4 and hated it.  Since then I haven't been able to convince him to try any other sport.  Until now.  Our friends Sydney and Zoë are playing T-Ball too and we got Hayden and Sydney on the same team and Sawyer and Zoë on the same team.  So having friends who were playing convinced my boys to play!  Yay!  Yesterday, Stephanie (Sydney and Zoë's mom) and I loaded up the kids and ventured out in the rain to buy all the items we needed for T-Ball.  We already had a bat and glove so we didn't have to buy those thank goodness.  But we had to get cleats, baseball pants and socks, another glove, and a helmet.  Stephanie and I had a lot of fun getting them ready for T-Ball!  Maybe even more fun than the kids! Ke

Yeah I know we are super attractive lol!  It was fun!  And now we are all set for T-Ball!

On rainy days (especially when it's been raining nonstop for 3 days) it can be hard to entertain two little boys.  They've done great but I know they are getting tired of being inside all day...because I certainly am!  I found them and my hubby creating their own entertainment yesterday!

Fun for the boys and Daddy got a little workout in too!  :-)

On Friday we were hanging out with Stephanie and her kids and needed something fun for the kids to do. First we went to the library, got the kids their own library cards, and then let them check out books.

They loved it!  But this only took up about an hour of our day so we headed to a crafts store.  We found these birdhouses at Michael's for $1!  We let the kids paint them...they had a blast!

Plus, we did some Father's Day gifts too but I can't reveal those until after Father's Day! ;-)

QOTD: What are some things you do to help entertain your kids on a rainy day?
