  26. Awesome. A run is brillant for me when all the good clicks into place: friends, fun, weather and blessings. I love to run (now) in the mornings when the weather is cool, the good friends are plentiful and we laugh and talk. The blessings part is the prayer for safety and health as we run. God is so good. Every run has been a blessing. Thanks Mindy for your part in my running journey. Jennie

  30. I don't know why my comments aren't showing up, but I will tell you again that a brilliant run to me is any run where I just don't want to go and, after I push myself, I end up having a great run. It's the best feeling.

    ReplyDelete
  31. I honestly feel like every run is brilliant in one way or another…….the way I see it, the only ‘bad’ run you have is the one you didn’t take!! But I did have an especially awesome and brilliant run on Tuesday of this week. My knee had been giving me problems the week before, and I went out on the run expecting that I may have to stop or go shorter than I intended. But my knee felt great! I felt incredible running through the redwood forest on my favorite trails, with a light breeze and a lovely 58 degrees. Feel free to be jealous, because it really was that great!

I think that a brilliant run is something you can understand more after you are stopped from running. I had to have surgery and have been given a 4-6 week no activity sentence. I am envious of anyone I see out running. I miss that joy of the freedom and the sound of my feet hitting the ground and what gets me through this time is knowing that I will be lucky enough to feel that feeling again!

  75. A brilliant run is when everything works together - your body, mind and heart in a way that everything feels effortless. It's been a while since I've had a brilliant run - back in January before I tore my ACL. I can't wait to be cleared to run again and have my next brilliant run. Not being able to run has made me appreciate it all the more.

  100. A run is brilliant when it's in motion. While I run I have a million thoughts and sometimes even come up with a good idea, but by the end, I'm physically so done that any thought is basically, "That run was awesome, I need a shower." That's brilliant to me.
