Fitness Friday...December 6th Edition!

Hey everyone! I made it to Memphis!!! I'm excited about the weekend and my 18th half marathon! I've fought hard for this one with these injuries. The goal is to finish. I know my time won't be fast but this one is all about the journey to the finish line. I know it will be an emotional one since it is for St. Jude. I want to say thank you to each and every one of you for donating and helping me get to this race!

I ask for one more thing from you...your prayers please! Prayers that my knee and hip will do great...and that no new injuries arise. Prayers that the winter storm that is supposed to occur while I'm here will not be bad. Prayers for safe travel. Thanks friends!

Now it's time for Fitness Friday! I'm excited to tell you all about my runs during this taper week!


Here's the rundown from this week!

  • Saturday- #plankaday 1:15
  • Sunday- 7 miles in 1:15:01 average pace 10:43
  • Monday- #plankaday 1:02
  • Tuesday- #plankaday 1:02
  • Wednesday- #plankaday 1:10, 3.12 mile run in 31:30 average pace 10:07

  • Thursday- #plankaday 1:00
  • Friday- #plankaday 1:00

A pretty good week in my opinion! The knee is finally letting me get back to my normal run schedule. I saw Dr. Justin on Wednesday of this week and he said the knee was doing great. He taped the knee for my race and told me to run strong and fast! He will see me one more time next week and then I'm done with treatment! :-)
