Fitness Friday...September 12th Edition!

It's been another crazy, busy week around here! Between my work and the boys' school and activities I am staying busy for sure! I did get some time with my sister on Wednesday night. We had a coffee date and it was so nice to relax for a few hours!

On Thursday Hayden started an art class at our local art museum. He had a blast! I'm so glad he found something he enjoys! Sawyer does his gymnastics but Hayden hasn't found anything extracurricular that he enjoys. So I'm hoping the art class is something he wants to stick with! He's taking a mixed media class in which he will create art from recyclable materials. Yesterday he created a silly self portrait using a piece of wood, paint, popsicle sticks, buttons, a key, and a bottle cap!



Now it's time for Fitness Friday! I had a great week of runs! And I am soooo ready to run my half marathon on Sunday!


  • Friday- #plankaday 1:01, 2.10 mile run in 17:45 average pace 8:27

  • Saturday- 2.11 mile run in 18:10 average pace 8:37
  • Monday- #plankaday 1:06, 2.12 mile run in 18:03 average pace 8:30

  • Tuesday- #plankaday 1:15, 3.11 mile run in 26:56 average pace 8:39

  • Wednesday- #plankaday 1:20, 2.11 mile run in 17:50 average pace 8:27

  • Thursday- #plankaday 1:30, 3.11 mile run in 26:50 average pace 8:38



Weight loss this week: 1.1 lbs.
Weight loss total: 32.9 lbs.


Running went great this week! I'm still enjoying the streak! And getting up every morning isn't so hard anymore! I think my body expects it now and it's a great way to start the day! I'm ready for my half on Sunday! I really am hoping for a PR! The weather forecast looked awesome last week but now it keeps getting hotter and hotter and there's a 50% chance of rain. So fingers crossed that I can make that PR happen in this heat!

The weight loss has been slow the past few weeks. The scale just hasn't wanted to budge. So I was super surprised when I lost a pound this week! I'm still sticking to my daily calorie allowance and haven't changed anything. I think it's just harder to lose now that I am so close to my goal. Don't they say those last few pounds are the toughest to lose? I'm hoping I can make my DietBet goal! I have 17 days left in the game!

SO this weekend is my next half marathon! I'm looking forward to running at the Talladega Superspeedway! It should be fun! My hubby is going with me this time and he's run/walking the 5K!!! It should be a fun weekend! Wish me luck on hopefully a PR!!!
