Fitness Friday...October 3rd Edition!

Yay for Friday!!! It's been a busy week! I had my first field trip to the library with my preschool class this week. We are lucky that the library is right down the street from our school so we were able to walk to it. My class was so good! I was so proud of them!

I also had my weekly coffee date with my sister! I love catching up with her each week. And...I got some fun cuddle time with my niece Ella before we left! :-)

Life is busy trying to help the boys get homework done in the afternoons and take them to their after school activities. Hayden has an art class on Thursdays that he LOVES! He is such a little artist and I love seeing how creative he is!

They both have been begging for me to take a picture of them in front of this huge statue outside the art academy!



Sawyer is busy with his gymnastics. He's on the boys team and will have his first competition in November (and yes...it is interfering with one of the races I wanted to run but I can't miss his first competition)! Did you know that competing in gymnastics is super, super, SUPER expensive? Yeah I'm not sure how we are going to do it but he absolutely loves gymnastics and has such a natural talent for it.

Now it's time for Fitness Friday! I'm excited to tell you all about my runs this week! And...I ran another 5K PR this week! I need to find a 5K race so I can make these PR's official! ;-)


  • Friday- #plankaday 1:15, 2.51 mile run in 21:28 average pace 8:33

  • Sunday- 2.52 mile run in 21:25 average pace 8:30
  • Monday- #plankaday 1:17, 2.27 mile run in 19:21 average pace 8:31 (this morning I woke up to a dead Garmin...although I charge it every day...thank goodness for Map My Run!)

  • Tuesday- #plankaday 2:05, 3.11 mile run in 25:52 average pace 8:18...A NEW PR!!!

  • Wednesday- #plankaday 1:30, 2.50 mile run in 21:18 average pace 8:31

  • Thursday- #plankaday 1:15, 3.12 mile run in 26:28 average pace 8:29


So it was a great week of running! The streak is still going strong and I'm still really enjoying it! I'm making sure to listen to my body and roll and stretch and ice when needed every day. I'm really excited about my next half marathon on October 19. I'm not sure if I will be able to PR this one (after my awesome 2:02:40 PR in Talladega) but I know without a doubt I should be able to run this course faster than I ever have! 

I'm super happy to say that I have now made my weight loss goal! I had that one number that I wanted to reach and I got there last week!!! That means I've lost a total of 35 pounds! I've never felt better! Now I've got to learn how to shift gears from losing weight to maintaining it. I plan to still log my food every day on My Fitness Pal. I don't ever want to get back to the weight I was when I first started this journey.

My second DietBet ended this week too. It was close but I made my goal and won $50!!! I'll be hosting another DietBet game starting October 27th! I'll let you know more details soon! I'd love for you to participate! It's so much fun!!!

This weekend I'm running 10 miles with my Sole2Soul Sisters! It should be fun! Then the next weekend I will run 8 miles and then the next weekend is my half!!!

Saturday we have plans to hang out with my sister. I'm looking forward to some family time!!!
