Fitness Friday...November 14th Edition!

Brrr! Is anyone else out there cold? I know there are some record winter weather scenarios out there right now. Here on the Gulf Coast we are getting super cold weather that we don't see that often...especially not in November. Thankfully I bought a new winter coat at Old Navy last weekend (my old one was too big since the weight loss). I've always wanted a red pea coat and LOVE this one! I wore it for the first time yesterday and got several compliments!

And Cullen apparently loves it too since he started climbing up my leg to be picked up when I was trying to take a picture lol!

In other wardrobe news, I also received some new items from PrAna through a campaign with Fit Approach! I got this awesome sweater and leggings! I'll tell you more about them next week but for now....you seriously need to check out their early winter collection...it is amazing! And you can save 15% with my code: pspf14rrg !

This week was busy as always. But the highlight....we had Tuesday off from work and school for Veteran's Day (thank you so much to all those that have or are currently serving our country so we can enjoy days like this)! After my appointment with Dr. Justin for treatment for my calf we headed over to a friend's house for a play date. The boys had a blast playing and I had fun getting to know a new friend!

Wednesday was back to school and work. But I DID have my weekly coffee date with my sister! :-)

Nothing exciting happened on Thursday...except for the freezing cold weather!

Now it's time for Fitness Friday! It was another week of low mileage due to my calf injury. I only ran 1 milers each day. On Saturday I was a little sad I didn't get to do a long run but I apparently needed to sleep in because I slept until 8:30 am that morning!

  • Friday- #plankaday 1:05, 1.26 mile run in 11:11 average pace 8:53

  • Saturday- 1.26 mile run in 11:07 average pace 8:49 (And my hubby came and ran some with me!)
  • Sunday- 1.26 mile run in 10:55 average pace 8:40
  • Monday- #plankaday 1:10, 1.25 mile run in 11:13 average pace 8:59

  • Tuesday- #plankaday 1:31, 1.26 mile run in 10:53 average pace 8:38

  • Wednesday- #plankaday 1:13, 1.26 mile run in 11:08 average pace 8:51

  • Thursday- #plankaday 1:05, 1.26 mile run in 10:57 average pace 8:41

The runs went pretty good this week. I had pain in the calf but on Thursday my calf felt the best it has felt in three weeks! I can definitely feel improvement since I'm been seeing Dr. Justin for treatment. On Tuesday he said the knot in my calf had gone from golf ball sized to a large grape size. On Thursday he said the knot was smaller than a grape. So I'm not 100% pain free yet but I'm getting there! Yay!

My eating was pretty good this week. I'm still counting my calories to make sure I stay in the range I need to maintain my weight. I did enjoy some comfort food this week. I made some chili last night and it was so yummy! But I had the calories to eat it! :-)

No long run again this weekend. I still get to keep my run streak alive with the one milers. Dr. Justin said that once I have no pain during the one mile runs then I can start bumping up the mileage. I'm ready for that day! I miss my long runs!

We were supposed to be camping with the cub scouts this weekend. But since the weather is going to be below freezing we decided to just head to the camp site on Saturday for the day and enjoy the festivities. I don't want the boys getting sick from sleeping in the super frigid cold air.

I hope everyone has a great weekend!!! Stay warm!

QOTD: What was your best run or workout this week? What temperatures are you feeling where you live right now?
