This weekend was full of rest and relaxation for me as I was recovering from Bronchitis. Friday night the boys stayed the night at a friend's house. They got to go to two Mardi Gras parades! I was thankful since I didn't need to be out in the cold air. They had an absolute blast and brought home a ton of Mardi Gras loot!
Since we didn't have any kids on Friday night, Andy and I had planned on a date night. But with my Bronchitis I start feeling bad at night and that's what happened. I felt so worn out and like I had fever. But I haven't had fever at all...even though I've felt like it. So instead of going out for dinner Andy dropped me off at home and picked up pizza. We then watched the movie "Fury" in the comfort of my PJ's and the couch! I was supposed to run 9 miles the following morning. I wasn't sure if that was going to happen...I was feeling horrible. But I decided to make the final call when I woke up that morning. Luckily, when I woke up I felt great! I went ahead and did my long run. I'll recap it on Wednesday for you...but will tell you that it was a great run!
Since I was feeling better, after my run on Saturday, Andy and I went out for lunch together. It was great spending some quality time with him without the boys. The boys got home later that afternoon and we took them out to the driving range for a little while. They both seem to like golf even though they are still learning.
Then we went to Moe's Southwest Grill for some dinner. And then back home for family movie night! We watched "The Boxtrolls" and it was super cute!
Sunday was a day of relaxing at home. The weather was absolutely gorgeous! The temps were in the high 60's! I dressed way too warm for my recovery run that morning!
Now it's time for the Weekly Chase! It's a new week and I have new goals to achieve! I hope you will link up your own goals with me too! And feel free to use the badge below in your post too! You can grab the badge HERE! :-)
Here are last week's goals!
- Goal #1: Run every day! Even though I had Bronchitis I still kept my run streak going! Of course the doctor DID give me permission to run as long as my cough didn't get worse when I was running which it didn't. I barely cough when I'm running.
- Goal #2: Roll, stretch, and ice daily. Yep!
- Goal #3: Maintain my weight by logging my calories. Yes! Although I did eat a lot of King Cake this week...but I had the calories for it! ;-)
- Goal #4: Continue working on Disney Princess Half Marathon weekend costumes! I'm almost done! Yay! :-)
- Goal #5: Write review and giveaway post for Tiux Compression Socks. Yes! Did you enter??? Giveaway ends tonight! Enter HERE!
Here are my goals for this week!
Goal #1: Run every day! The plan is to keep my run streak alive with at least one mile every day!
Goal #2: Roll, stretch, and ice daily. I've been very diligent with this in the hopes I can keep from getting injured since I have so many races coming up.
Goal #3: Maintain my weight by logging my calories. I am still working hard to maintain my weight so that I don't gain any back.
Goal #4: Start working on sub plans for when I'm in Disney. I'm taking off 3 days of work for the Princess Half Marathon weekend. As a teacher it's more work to take off than be there because you have to get a sub and leave plans for the sub. I need to get working on this now.
Goal #5: Book a hotel for Sawyer's gymnastics competition. Sawyer's next competition is this weekend. I haven't booked our hotel yet. Yikes! Need to do that TODAY!
That's the plan for this week! Hope you do great with your goals this week too!
QOTD: What are your goals this week?
