Fitness Friday...Spring Break Edition!

Happy Friday everyone! It has been my Spring Break week so of course it has flown by faster than lightning! :-( Even though we didn't do a lot, I have had a blast hanging out with my boys all week long!

On Monday we had lunch with some new friends. My best friend Stephanie (whose husband is in the Coast Guard and are currently stationed in San Francisco) has some Coast Guard friends who are moving to my town in July. They are here this week on Spring Break searching for a house. So we met up to meet each other! They are a super sweet couple and my boys and their little girl (who is Hayden's age) had a blast together. I'm looking forward to them moving here! And the best part...they are RUNNERS!!!! :-)

Monday night Andy had a work meeting so the boys and I went out to eat at Panera Bread! I LOVE their Chicken Caesar salad! And LOVE these silly boys so much!


On Tuesday, Andy's parents took us to a movie! We went and saw the movie "Home!" It was so cute and funny! I LOVED hearing my boys crack up during the movie!


After the movie we went and had some frozen yogurt! The sugar may have been getting to us a bit lol!


On Wednesday, we met my new friend Jen that I met at the Azalea Trail Run a few weeks ago for coffee. She has a 15 year old son named Sawyer (which MY Sawyer thought was so cool)! The boys got along great! And Jen and I talked nonstop....so much fun!


After about an hour at the coffee shop, we headed to the pier so the boys could jump around and play. My Sawyer impressed us all with his gymnastics moves while Jen and I talked for another 3 hours! We have so much in common...I swear we are long lost twins!


On Thursday, we met my sister Christy for lunch at Panini Pete's...a fun little local restaurant that we love!


Then we walked around downtown for a bit. And then we decided to go on a hike down to the bay! We saw an alligator, a green "flying worm," and a black snake...yikes! We scared ourselves to death with that snake but we were safe lol! It was fun times and memories with my sweet boys!


Today we are taking a day road trip to the Florida Caverns! Andy took the day off and his parents are coming with us. Andy and I visited the caverns on the way to our Disney Cruise on our honeymoon...14 years ago! I know my boys are going to love it!

Now it's time for Fitness Friday! I had so much fun sleeping in some this week and running in the sunlight! My hip is still bothering me some...it's tight. I'm still hoping I can work out the tightness with my roller.


  • Friday- 1.61 mile run in 12:55 average pace 8:01
  • Sunday- 2.06 mile run in 16:51 average pace 8:11
  • Monday- #plankaday 1:05, 1.59 mile run in 13:05 average pace 8:14

  • Tuesday- #plankaday 1:05, 2.05 mile run in 16:42 average pace 8:09

  • Wednesday- #plankaday 1:15, 1.66 mile run in 13:34 average pace 8:11

  • Thursday- #plankaday 1:30, 1.68 mile run in 13:40 average pace 8:08


The running was great this week...except for the tight hip. Some days it hurts worse than other days. I probably really need to go see my chiropractor because I feel like one hip is higher than the other. :-/

This weekend I need to get in some kind of long run. I'm thinking between 8-10 miles. The Biggest Loser Half Marathon is next weekend!!!
