On Friday we continued our Spring Break fun by going to the Florida Caverns! Andy and I went here for the first time 14 years ago...on our honeymoon! It was fun taking the boys there! And Andy's parents came with us too! I'll have a picture post up for you this week so you can see all the amazing cave pictures I took! :-)
Saturday I ran a rainy 8 miles. It was a tough run. I struggled both mentally and physically. I'll recap it for you on Wednesday. Later that night I went and had coffee at our favorite coffee shop with my sister Christy. Then we went and saw the movie, "The Longest Ride." It was really good!
Sunday we took another day trip to see some family. Andy's cousin just had a new baby so we went to love on the baby! It was great seeing everyone! We don't get to see this side of the family as often as we would like.
Now it's time for the Weekly Chase! It's a new week and I have new goals to achieve! I hope you will link up your own goals with me too! And feel free to use the badge below in your post too! You can grab the badge HERE! :-)
Here are my goals from last week!
- Goal #1: Run every day! Yes! I kept the streak alive during Spring Break! :-)
- Goal #2: Roll, stretch, and ice daily. Yes! I've been doing lots of this this week. My left hip is still bothering me. I think I need to see the chiropractor for sure now.
- Goal #3: Maintain my weight by logging my calories. I did pretty well with this this week. I ate out a lot during Spring Break but tried my best to make healthy choices. The scale didn't budge so I must have done something right! :-)
- Goal #4: Plan fun days with my boys for Spring Break. Yes! We all had a blast!
Here are my goals for this week!
Goal #1: Run every day! The goal this week is to keep the streak alive. I will be doing lots of short runs to protect the hip as much as I can. I have my next half marathon (The Biggest Loser Half) this weekend. Due to my hip I'm not going to run this one hard. I'm hoping to just be able to finish. :-/
Goal #2: Roll, stretch, and ice daily. Definite must for the hip this week.
Goal #3: Maintain my weight by logging my calories. Logging my food is what keeps me accountable.
Goal #4: Make an appointment with Dr. Justin, my sports chiropractor. I can tell that my hip is out of alignment. My lower back on that side has been hurting off and on for a couple of months as well. It's time to go see him.
Goal #5: Fuel and hydrate for my half marathon this weekend. Like I already mentioned, I'm just running this one for fun. No trying to PR. I need to take it easy on my hip and slow down. I've had an amazing race season the past few months. Not every race has to be a PR.
So that's the focus for this week! I hope you have a great week of achieving your goals!
QOTD: What goals are you reaching for this week?
