Fitness Friday...September 18th Edition!

Happy Friday and start to the weekend y'all!!! We have lots of fun things planned for this weekend so I couldn't wait for it to get here!!!

First things first. I MUST brag on one of my preschool students! He could barely write his name on the first day of school. And this week I noticed how much he has improved since starting to write his name! The two names he wrote below are two weeks apart! He has improved so much!!! I'm so very proud of him! And this is one of the reasons why I LOVE being a preschool teacher!!!


This week Hayden's art classes started back up! He was so excited! He is taking a new class with a new teacher. He will be doing all kinds of different art...not just painting like he's done in the past. And....his friends Maddy and Olivia are taking the class with him so that makes it even more fun! Here's Hayden and Maddy's first piece of art work from the class!


This week I also had a Starbucks coffee date with Jenny and her daughter Lily! It turned into a celebratory coffee date because Lily made the only A on a test in one of her college classes! She was so excited and we were so proud of her!!! And we didn't plan to all be color coordinated...but it sure made for a cute picture!!!


This week we also met our friends Kirstin, Jim, Maddy, and Kirstin's Mom and Dad for dinner out one night! We chose one of my new favorite places...the Chicken Salad Chick! It was so yummy!

Now it's time for Fitness Friday! I had a great week of runs this week. I got new shoes last Friday and they feel amazing! It's funny how a new pair of shoes make such a difference in your running! We also had a few mornings where the temperatures were in the 50's! It felt like fall y'all! But no worries...we went right back up to 70's and 80's in the morning not long after. :-(

  • Saturday- 2.36 mile run in 19:30 average pace 8:16
  • Sunday- 6.24 mile run in 55:13 average pace 8:51
  • Monday- #plankaday 2:05, 2.33 mile run in 19:24 average pace 8:21

  • Tuesday- #plankaday 2:06, 2.36 mile run in 19:20 average pace 8:11

  • Wednesday- #plankaday 2:05, 2.51 mile run in 20:20 average pace 8:06

  • Thursday- #plankaday 2:15, 2.37 mile run in 19:18 average pace 8:09


My runs were great this week! I really enjoyed those cooler temperatures on Sunday and Monday! I'm hoping we get more of those cooler mornings to stay soon! My new shoes made such a difference this week! Love love love Asics!!!

This weekend I have 11 miles on the schedule. Jenny and I are going to run together so it will be fun!
