This week was a rest week. I only had to run 6 miles. I was hoping to run with Jenny but she ended up getting a bad cold and decided it was best not to run. So solo it was!

The night before was a late night because Andy and I had gone to watch The Nutcracker. I wasn't sure if I would be super tired for this run or not.

The weather was awesome! The temperature was in the low 30's! There was even frost on the ground!!!

So I bundled up in layers and set out! I love running in the cold!

I chose to run my favorite route downtown!

The first mile went by really fast! I was just running along and enjoying the scenery! And thankfully there wasn't a lot of traffic!

I then had to cross over the busy highway. You never know if you are going to have to stop for traffic or not. But my luck was good...I didn't have to stop then or on the way back!!!

As I was getting close to my turn around point I decided to go ahead and run 7 miles instead of 6. I was feeling so great that I just wanted to keep going!!! Love it when that happens!!!

I reached my turn around point. I headed back. And I passed one of my favorite houses. I snapped a quick picture hoping the owners didn't see me lol! I just love the front porch on this house!!!

This route is always so pretty!!! And I love that there is a sidewalk to run on so I don't have to worry about traffic as much.

I reached downtown. And there was the gorgeous Christmas tree in front of City Hall!

This was only a training run...I could stop and take a quick Christmas tree selfie right???!!!

From this point I only had about 2 miles left. It didn't take long and I was on the street headed back to my house!

What an amazing run!!! I felt great the entire time! And the fact that I wanted to keep going always makes me happy!

I stopped my Garmin and was in for a surprise! I had run a 10K PR!!!! Yay!!!!

Here's the face of a happy girl who ran a happy run!!!

So much fun!!!

QOTD: Do you prefer running in the cold or the hot?
