Fitness Friday...March 4th Edition!

Happy Friday y'all! I'm so glad the weekend is here! And that I'm not going out of town this weekend! Although I had a blast, back to back race weekends out of town is so tiring! And I missed my family so much!

We don't have a lot of plans this weekend and for that I'm thankful! I AM running a 5K race this weekend but it's in the town I live in. And my boys are doing the fun run too! It should be fun! The rest of the weekend plans involve hanging out with friends. And relaxing!

Monday morning I woke up with a sore throat. I've been battling sinus issues since before I left for Princess weekend. I thought it was better but apparently it wasn't. So not feeling good was no fun! But having coffee with my new medal from New Orleans helped a little!

Tuesday I was still feeling crummy. But I did my civic duty and voted after work! It WAS Super Tuesday after all and every vote counts!

Wednesday was a fun day at preschool! It was Dr. Seuss's birthday and we celebrated Wacky Wednesday style! The teachers and kids had a blast dressing wacky. We also read the book Wacky Wednesday and I did wacky things in the classroom that the kids had to find. I was super happy to get another use out of my mermaid leggings too!

Thursday I was still feeling bad and had developed a cough that felt like it was going into my chest. So I went to the doctor. He said since I'd been fighting it for so long he felt like I needed antibiotics to help. So I got a z pack. Hopefully I will feel better soon! It's no fun feeling crummy!

Today at preschool it is silly sock day! We are reading Fox in Socks and wearing our silly songs! Should be a fun day!

Despite not feeling my best I made sure to get in all my runs this week for my run streak! I never ran any fever so I felt like running was ok. When I asked the doctor he said it was fine too since I wasn't running fever.

Even though I wasn't feeling well this week my runs went great! Running was the only time I could breathe clear and not cough!

This weekend I have a 5K race on Saturday. I'm not planning on doing a long run this weekend. I think my body needs a little break this week from long distances. It has worked so hard for me the past two weekends! I'm so thankful that I can run!!!

Happy weekend and happy running y'all!!!

QOTD: What was your best run or workout this week?
