Fitness Friday...April 15th Edition!

Happy Friday y'all! It's been a rainy week. But it's been a fun week at work! This week was Teacher Appreciation Week at my preschool. My directors and my students spoiled me rotten! They had something planned for each day. It was awesome!!!

On Monday I arrived at work to a fruit and yogurt breakfast! Yum!

After my yummy breakfast I was showered with my favorite fruits from my students in my 4 year old class!!!

My students were hilarious! They know I do NOT like apples. One of the sweet boys in my class told his mom to play a joke on me and get me a bunch of apples lol! She didn't though! One student even got me some oranges with this note on it! So funny!

My newest student (she's only been with me a few months) didn't know I didn't like apples and brought me one. It was tough because all the other students kept asking why there was an apple when I don't like apples. Luckily I don't think the sweet student understood. And Sawyer greatly enjoyed the apple she brought me! ;-)

I also got some happy mail Monday afternoon! I am an official Momentum Jewelry Ambassador and my ambassador package came in! I LOVE their motivational wraps so much!!! Blessed to represent them!!!

Tuesday morning before work I was putting away laundry. But Cullen found this beach towel before I could put it away! And y'all...it has become his favorite place to sit! I can't break his heart and put it away!!!

At work our directors bought us coffee from the new local coffee shop. I got a coffee frappuccino. It was soo nice of them to treat us with coffee!!!

And the students in my 2 year old class brought me "flowers!" I LOVED the homemade flowers!!!

Wednesday was our favorite snack day. The preschool had all kinds of yummy snacks for us in the office. And then my 4 year old class students brought all my favorite snacks! I got chocolate chip cookies, chex mix, candy, Starbucks, goldfish, and much more!!! Wow!

It was another happy mail day as my first purchase as a Running Skirts Ambassador came in! I ordered the Summit Athletic Skirt which I've had my eye on for quite a while! It's even prettier in person!!!

The rest of Wednesday afternoon I struggled not to eat all the yummy cookies and snacks my students gave me! Y'all!!! The temptation is so real and so hard to resist!!! I made a cup of coffee to fill me up and keep me from eating all that yumminess! And I just noticed Cullen sitting on the towel in the background of this picture lol!

Thursday was school supply day. But since my 2 year old class only comes twice a week they all did Friday's suggestion of "miscellaneous day." Look at all the goodies! I got the cutest bag that I promptly gave to one of the other teachers to have monogrammed! The preschool gave us a new picture book and read aloud cd. I got more chocolate.

And y'all!!! I got a YETI RAMBLER!!!! These cups were so hard to find around here at Christmastime so I didn't even ask for one. I'm super excited as I've heard these cups are awesome!

After school I was in need of some Starbucks so I headed straight there. I got my beloved Coffee Frappucinno Light! So yummy!

Thursday night was Teacher's Night Out with my preschool. Usually we are told where/what we are doing but this year we were only told to arrive at 5:30, dress comfortably, dinner would be provided, and our evening would end at 9:30. We tried all week to guess what the plan was.

When we got to the preschool they had pizza and salad from Mellow Mushroom! Yum!!! Then we loaded the church bus and headed to Mobile. We went to Breakout Mobile! It's where you are locked inside a room and you have one hour to get out using all kinds of clues. It was so much fun! One of our groups broke out but my group didn't make it in time. We were so close though!

Today is miscellaneous day so I'm sure my students will spoil me again! The preschool is also providing us with lunch from one of my favorite places...Chicken Salad Chick! Yum!

And after this week...this girl is going to have to go back on a diet lol!

Now it's time for Fitness Friday! It's been another great week of runs! I had to run in the rain yesterday (which I really don't mind as long as it's not heavy rain or lightning) but it was so refreshing!

  • Friday- #plankaday 2:05, 2.52 mile run in 20:38 average pace 8:11

  • Saturday- 8.06 mile run in 1:10:45 average pace 8:46
  • Sunday- 2.61 mile run in 21:24 average pace 8:12
  • Monday- #plankaday 2:05, 2.16 mile run in 17:43 average pace 8:12

  • Tuesday- #plankaday 2:05, 1.90 mile run in 15:46 average pace 8:19

  • Wednesday- #plankaday 2:05, 2.34 mile run in 18:54 average pace 8:04

  • Thursday- #plankaday 2:15, 2.31 mile run in 18:56 average pace 8:12

It was a great week of runs! I'm loving that the sun is starting to rise a little earlier so my runs aren't so dark.

This weekend I am planning on a longer run of about 6-8 miles. It's nice not having a certain mileage that I have to do like I do when I'm training for a race. I'm enjoying running for fun right now!

Hayden is going on his first campout with the Boy Scouts this weekend! Andy is going with him. So Sawyer and I will be on our own this weekend. I'm trying to come up with something fun for us to do together on Saturday.

I hope you all have a great weekend!

QOTD: What was your best run or workout this week?
