Fitness Friday...August 19th Edition!

Happy Friday y'all!!! We just experienced our last week of summer vacation. That's right....school starts on Monday. We are all a little sad that summer is over....but we are also excited about the new school year too!

On Monday I attended our annual teacher meeting. My directors are always so generous and they had a bag full of goodies waiting for us! They also provided lunch for us from Chicken Salad Chick!

On Tuesday I finished up everything in my classroom! I think it turned out really well!

That night was Parent Night. The parents of the students in my class visited my classroom and I told them all about our class!

We also took a group picture of our preschool teachers and staff. Have I ever told y'all how blessed I am to work with such an amazing group of women? Because I am! I just love my job!!!

Wednesday was Meet the Teacher day! I got to meet all 10 of my precious preschoolers! They were soooo cute! It's going to be an amazing school year!!!

Wednesday afternoon the boys and I went out to lunch and then ran some errands. Afterwards I was craving coffee so we hit up Starbucks of course!!!

Thursday the boys got to meet their teachers! They seemed really nice! I'm hoping my boys have a great school year!

With having to go to work some this week I really missed my fur babies! It's going to be tough to leave them every day!!!

Now it's time for Fitness Friday! I got in all my runs this week! So far I've only got in one strength training session but I am determined to get in at least one more before Monday!

  • Friday- 2.6 mile run in 21:12 average pace 8:08
  • Saturday- 6.2 mile run in 55:17 average pace 8:53
  • Sunday- 2.6 mile run in 21:09 average pace 8:04
  • Monday- 2.6 mile run in 21:00 average pace 8:01
  • Tuesday- 2.6 mile run in 20:55 average pace 8:01
  • Wednesday- 2.6 mile run in 21:06 average pace 8:03, Strength training: back and biceps

  • Thursday- 3.1 mile run in 25:11 average pace 8:06 (And the Lead Singer portion of the #RnRVirtualRun!)

It was a great week of runs and workouts! I am going to miss running in the daylight, taking walks after my runs every day, and running more mileage once school starts on Monday. I'm also going to miss my long morning walk with Archie. We are definitely going to have to get into a new routine!

This weekend officially starts half marathon training for me. I hate to say this...but I'm not too excited about it. It's just so hot right now! I'm hoping I get excited soon. I LOVE running races but I am just not motivated to run distance right now. But this weekend starts with a 7 mile run. I am going to try my hardest to slow down and hope that makes it a little more bearable.

I hope you all have a great weekend! We are going to try to enjoy the last summer weekend before school on Monday!

QOTD: What was your best run or workout this week? How do you get yourself motivated to start training again?
