The Weekly Chase #185!

August already??!!! In my world that means back to school is right around the corner. School starts August 22nd here. I'm not ready to go back! I've been having such a great summer! I'm hoping time will slow down some as we enjoy the last weeks of summer!

I hope you all had a great weekend! We've had a major change in my house! Friday morning we went to the local humane society to meet a precious yellow Lab named Archie! He IS PRECIOUS!!!! They let us bring him home for the weekend to see how he got along with my cat Cullen. And they have done amazing together!!!! Cullen was a little shy at first but now he acts like Archie is part of the family!





We have all fallen in love with Archie!!!! And we have decided we definitely want to adopt him! He is THE best dog! He already knows how to sit on command, he hasn't jumped on the boys at all, he's very gentle, and we've only heard him bark once. He has won our hearts for sure! 

He just got neutered on Thursday and is still recovering. But I'm hoping when he's all healed that he will be able to run some with me! 

So our weekend has been pretty full of just getting to know him! We did have dinner with friends on Saturday night. Archie did amazing while we were gone!! We fully expected a mess of some kind while we were gone but he was an angel! 

I also had time for a quick Starbucks run for me and my hubby!


Sunday morning I ran (of course)! I reached day 800 of my run streak!!!! I can't believe I've been streaking for this long!!! I LOVE it!!!


Sunday night we had Hayden's birthday dinner with Andy's family! He chose to eat at Cracker Barrel! Yum! Then the family came back to our house to meet Archie! :-)

Here are last week's goals!
  • Goal #1: Run every day! Yes! And like I said, I reached day 800 yesterday!!!
  • Goal #2: Roll, stretch, and ice daily. 75%. I haven't been rolling like I should. I need to get back to this so I can stay injury free!
  • Goal #3: Maintain my weight by logging my calories. Yes!
  • Goal #4: Move 11,000 steps or more each day this week. Yes!
  • Goal #5: Run at least 1 run under 2 miles. Nope. I'm so not doing good with this goal this summer. 
  • Goal #6: Eat less calories each day. Yep.
  • Goal #7: Take at least one walk this week. Yes! I've taken a walk every day! ;-)
  • Goal #8: Strength train at least 2 times this week. Yes! I wanted to get in 3 times but since we had Archie this weekend I didn't get a chance for my third workout. 
  • Goal #9: Make Hayden's birthday the best! Yes! He seemed to have a great day! The rain even held off so he could go swimming like he wanted! 


And here are my goals for this week!

Every week goals:

Goal #1: Run every day! 
Goal #2: Roll, stretch, and ice daily. 
Goal #3: Maintain my weight by logging my calories.

Goal #5: Run at least 1 run under 2 miles.
Goal #6: Eat less calories each day.
Goal #7: Take at least one walk this week.
Goal #8: Strength train at least 2 times this week.

Goal #9: Go through the boys' school uniforms. I need to see what still fits them and what they need for the new school year. 

Goal #10: Buy school supplies for Hayden. Usually I buy the school supply boxes that the school sells but they didn't have one available for Hayden's grade this year. So we will have to fight the crowds for school supplies. :-(
