The Weekly Chase #201!

Hey everyone! I hope you all had a very happy Thanksgiving! I know I sure did! I enjoyed spending lots of quality time with my family! It was a GREAT week and I'm sad it's over!

Today it's back to reality. But....in good news....we only have three weeks until Christmas vacation!!! I can do this!!!!

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving! We spent the night Wednesday night at Andy's sister Katie's house. It was also Archie's first sleepover lol! He slept great that night but never really rested or relaxed during the day. I think he was too anxious and wondering what was going on. Every time we would go outside he would go straight to the car wanting to leave! Hopefully he will get used to going other places especially since it is our Thanksgiving and Easter traditions to spend the night at Katie's house.

We had lots of yummy food! And Archie even got a special Thanksgiving treat...a pig ear...his favorite lol!

Andy and I did our annual Black Friday shopping date...although we got started a little later than normal this year. That's ok though since we didn't have a must on our list!

Because of not getting his naps....Archie was so exhausted on Friday! Poor doggie!

Friday night we had "Friends-giving" at my friend Kirstin's house. But I failed to take any pictures! I know! What's wrong with me??!! We had a fun night though!

Saturday we headed back out of town to have Thanksgiving with Andy's extended family. Of course I wore some comfy LuLaRoe leggings to travel (and eat) in!

His family lives out in the country and Archie of course went with us. He had a BLAST getting to explore off leash! We were amazed how well he did and that he would come to us when we called him! He's such a good dog!

It was a great day with family!!!!

Now it's time for the Weekly Chase! It's a new week and I have new goals to achieve! I hope you will link up your own goals with me too! And feel free to use the badge below in your post too! You can grab the badge HERE! :-)

The Weekly Chase #200!

Happy Thanksgiving week y'all!!! I am so thankful to be off of work this entire week! I'm looking forward to spending lots of quality time with my family and fur babies!!!

This weekend I met a turkey during my long run!

One of the farmers down the road from my house made him out of a bale of hay! At Halloween time they had a pumpkin jack 'o' lantern made out of a bale of hay too! So cute!

I also have to share with y'all my newest pair of Lularoe leggings! These were my unicorn (a print you search and search to find)! I had only seen them with a teal background so I was so excited to see them with a black background! And I was fast enough to get them! The Disney girl in me LOVES these castles!!!

Saturday we did some shopping! It got really cold this weekend and we discovered that the boys don't have any warm clothes! So we got them some jeans, long sleeve shirts, and jackets!

After shopping Andy just pulled right into Starbucks without me having to ask! He really does love me!!!

Archie stayed snuggled in his bed on Sunday morning when it was so cold! He LOVES his bed!!!

Andy also decided he wanted to paint the living room this weekend! So we picked a color, went to Lowe's, and he painted!

Because it was so cold on Sunday morning....I got to wear the new running tights I bought at TJ Max this summer! They are super cute!

Archie also decided he really wanted to go for a car ride after my run Sunday morning. So being the good doggie mommy that I am I took him for a ride around the block. He was one happy doggie after that lol!

Now it's time for the Weekly Chase! It's a new week and I have new goals to achieve! I hope you will link up your own goals with me too! And feel free to use the badge below in your post too! You can grab the badge HERE! :-)

Fitness Friday...November 18th Edition!

Happy Friday y'all! And...happy we have the next week off for Thanksgiving!!!!! I'm a little excited y'all!!!

I had a great week! It started out a little rough though because Archie started having diarrhea and threw up one night. He had apparently eaten something he shouldn't have. We ended up taking him to the vet and now he is back to normal praise God! I did NOT like seeing my sweet boy not feeling good!

When he first had an upset tummy we cut back on his food serving. He was NOT happy about that lol! Boy LOVES his food!

Sad puppy dog eyes!

Preschool was busy for me this week as we got ready for our Thanksgiving Feast! I got my little class all ready to be Indians! So there was lots of glue, hot glue guns, and painting t-shirts done this week! But we are ready to feast today!!! :-)

I also went on a field trip with my Hayden this week! We went to the Mobile International Festival! We got to learn about different countries and try food from the different countries! It was a neat field trip but super crowded. That made it a little less fun but we survived!

Now it's time for Fitness Friday! I got in all my runs for my run streak as well as my goal of at least 2 strength training sessions! I'm trying to talk the hubby into going to BodyPump tonight and if he agrees then that will be 3 times this week!

  • Friday- 2.6 mile run in 20:31 average pace 7:47
  • Saturday- 2.6 mile run in 20:49 average pace 7:56
  • Sunday- Battleship 12K, 7.46 miles in 1:00:29 average pace 8:08
  • Monday- 2.6 mile run in 21:23 average pace 8:06, Strength Training: BodyPump

  • Tuesday- 2.6 mile run in 21:08 average pace 8:03
  • Wednesday- 2.6 mile run in 21:10 average pace 8:01, Strength Training: BodyPump

  • Thursday- 2.6 mile run in 20:53 average pace 7:55

So that was my week of fitness! I had some great runs this week! Them temps were in the high 40's and low 50's each morning so that made for some great running weather! And I'm so proud I got in all my strength training this week! I really didn't want to go to class Wednesday afternoon but I went and of course I didn't regret going!

This weekend I am planning on doing a 5-6 mile run. I'm not in official training mode yet so I'm going to enjoy running what I feel.

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!!!

The Weekly Chase #199!

Hey everyone! It's been a crazy weekend around here! It was so nice having Friday off for Veterans Day but we stayed home the whole day because Sawyer wasn't feeling good. He thought he was going to throw up but luckily he never did. He started perking up that night so I am thankful for that!

The hubby and Hayden left Friday afternoon for a weekend of camping with the Boy Scouts!

Saturday it was the day to pick up my packet for the Battleship 12K on Sunday! Since Sawyer was feeling better he came with me! He did great at taking a few packet pickup pictures for me!

After packet pickup Sawyer and I picked up some yummy lunch! Later that afternoon Andy's mom came and picked Sawyer up for the night. He was spending the night with my in-laws so I could run the race the next day (since Andy and Hayden were camping and couldn't watch him for me).

That night I met my friends Kirstin and Jim along with some of our other friends at Mellow Mushroom for our pre-race dinner of....PIZZA of course! It was yummy like always!

The rest of the night Archie and I lounged on the couch until it was time for bed! He was so cute all snuggled into the pillow!!!

Of course before bed I had to get my flat Road Runner Girl all set up so you guys could see my race outfit! ;-) Archie seemed to approve since he wouldn't move for my picture lol!

I didn't sleep that great Saturday night because Archie woke up barking in the middle of the night...which he has NEVER done since we've gotten him. So that had me a little on edge all night. I slept pretty restlessly.

But I woke up ready to run. First I took Archie on his walk. And then I drank my coffee, had some oatmeal, and was ready to go!

I wasn't feeling 100% though. I've been battling a cold all week and it had me feeling a little weird. With lots of prayers before the race I set out to run. I'll tell you all about my race later this week in a recap!

Now it's time for the Weekly Chase! It's a new week and I have new goals to achieve! I hope you will link up your own goals with me too! And feel free to use the badge below in your post too! You can grab the badge HERE! :-)

Road Runner Girl

Here are my goals from last week!

Goal #1: Run every day! Yes! I reached day 900 this week!!!!!!
Goal #2: Roll, stretch, and ice daily. 50%. I stretched but didn't roll like I should have.
Goal #3: Maintain my weight by logging my calories. Yes!
Goal #4: Move 11,000 steps or more each day this week. Yes!

Goal #5: Run at least 1 run under 2 miles. No. This one is so hard for me!

Goal #6: Take at least one walk this week. Yes!
Goal #7: Strength train at least 2 times this week. 50%. Because of my cold I knew I needed some extra rest so I only strength trained once this week.
Goal #8: Fule and hydrate for this weekend's 12K! Yes! This one is always easy!

And here are my goals for this week!

Every week goals:

Goal #1: Run every day!
Goal #2: Roll, stretch, and ice daily.
Goal #3: Maintain my weight by logging my calories.
Goal #4: Move 11,000 steps or more each day this week.

Goal #5: Run at least 1 run under 2 miles.
Goal #6: Take at least one walk this week.
Goal #7: Strength train at least 2 times this week.

Goal #8: Dye and paint Indian shirts. Our preschool has a Thanksgiving Feast every year where the kids dress up as pilgrims and Indians and eat a feast! My class will be dressed as Indians! I have to get their shirts dyed and painted before Friday!

Goal #9: Finish Thanksgiving Feast centerpieces. Each child will also have a centerpiece and placemat at their spot at the table. I need to get these finished this week as well!

So that's my plan for this week! It's going to be a busy week! If I can survive it then I'll have a whole week off next week for Thanksgiving with my family! Yay!

I hope you all have a wonderful week conquering your goals!

Fitness Friday...November 11th Edition!

Happy Friday y'all! And Happy Veteran's Day! I am so thankful for all those who serve or have served in our military! Thank you for keeping our country safe and free! God Bless the USA!

It's been a busy week! And I've been fighting a cold all week so that's been no fun! :-( My voice starting going on Wednesday. It's not cool to not be able to talk much y'all!!!

This week was also election day. I hope you voted! Our polls were the busiest I have ever seen them! I'm not going to talk politics on here but just want to say that I am praying for our country and the new president elect. It doesn't matter if I did or didn't vote for him...what matters is that he will now be the president of our country and I plan to pray for him like the Bible says we should do.

On Tuesday my friend Lora subbed at my school! We got to teach together and it was so fun! Then we went and voted together as well!

Tuesday nights are always super busy in our house. Sawyer has gymnastics that night and Hayden has Boy Scout meetings on Tuesday nights. I was super proud of Hayden when he got home from his meeting because he earned his Scout rank! He's been working so hard and was the first in his first year patrol to earn it! So proud of him!

I also got lots of Archie time this week! He LOVES to find me and "sit" in my lap lol! He's so big but doesn't realize it lol!

He's doing really well in his obedience training class! He only has 2 more weeks left! I'm hoping he passes the test!!! We've definitely seen some good changes in him since beginning the class!

Funny story...we were at the dog park this past weekend and he was playing so sweetly with the other dogs. Then he went up to this lady and just sat down in front of her and stared at her. I said something to him about her not having any treats for him and she corrected me and said that actually she had some in her back pocket!!! She made him lay down first and then gave him one! But I thought it was so smart of him to do that lol!

As y'all know from previous posts...I am super addicted to Lularoe clothing! I sported several Lularoe pieces this week including my newest Randy shirt!

And my newest pair of leggings! Aren't those polka dots so fun??!!

Now it's time for Fitness Friday! I did not make my goal of 2 strength training classes this week. :-( As I said above, I've been fighting a cold all week and the hubby told me my body needed some rest. I definitely wasn't going to NOT run so I chose to skip a day of weight training instead.

On Saturday I ran a local 10K race and PRed AND placed 3rd in my age group!!!! Be sure to read my recap of the race

I also hit day 900 of my run streak this week!!!!!!!! It happened on Tuesday which was also election day so I will always remember it lol!

  • Friday- 2.6 mile run in 21:00 average pace 8:00
  • Sunday- 2.3 mile run in 19:37 average pace 8:24
  • Monday- 2.6 mile run in 21:06 average pace 8:03, Strength Training: BodyPump

  • Tuesday- 2.6 mile run in 20:53 average pace 7:58 and day 900!!!!!!!!
  • Wednesday- 2.6 mile run in 20:54 average pace 7:56
  • Thursday- 2.6 mile run in 21:01 average pace 8:00

So it was a great week of running with the 10K PR, age group win, and hitting day 900 of my run streak!!!!

This weekend I am running another race....the Battleship 12K! I ran it last year and it was such a fun race! It honors our veterans! If you are in the Mobile area and want to run it you can save 15% off with the code RRGIRL!

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!!!
