Disney Day 3...Downtown Disney!
Our third day in Disney we went to Downtown Disney. Hayden loves Legos and wanted to visit the Lego Store. After Downtown Disney we went back to the condo. Our cousins that live in Orlando met us there for a swim day. It was a fun day!

The Weekly Chase #130!
We had an amazing weekend!!! My best friend Stephanie (who lives in California) and her three kids are here to visit us for the next two weeks!!! We went to New Orleans on Friday to pick them up at the airport. We decided to experience New Orleans that afternoon before their plane landed. My boys have never been to New Orleans. Luckily we found a free parking spot in the French Market. We walked around and then headed to Cafe Du Monde because a true New Orleans experience involves beignets!!! :-) The boys LOVED them!!!
We then walked around Jackson Square.
After our exploring we headed to Starbucks! I really wanted a New Orleans mug!!! ;-) Isn't it pretty???
We hung out at Starbucks for a while and then it was time to head to the airport! I was soooo excited to see Stephanie!!!
We had a two and a half hour drive home from New Orleans and the car ride was soooo loud! The kids had so much fun talking and laughing with each other!
The next day we celebrated the 4th of July at home for the first time since we've lived in this house. Usually we go to a friend's house. But we were able to watch the fireworks in our backyard! It was awesome! And having Stephanie here made it even more special!
Sunday we went to see the movie "Max!" It was so good!!!
Now it's time for the Weekly Chase! It's a new week and I have new goals to achieve! I hope you will link up your own goals with me too! And feel free to use the badge below in your post too! You can grab the badge HERE! :-)
Here are my goals from last week!

Here are my goals from last week!
- Goal #1: Run every day! Yes! I had a great week of runs this week! :-)
- Goal #2: Roll, stretch, and ice daily. Yep. I rolled and stretched every day!
- Goal #3: Maintain my weight by logging my calories. I did pretty good with this this week. I didn't log everything on July 4th but I was aware of what I was eating.
- Goal #4: Incorporate some weight training into my routine. Yes! I finished up my June challenge. And then I started a new one with FitFluential.
- Goal #5: Clean up the guest bedroom. Yes! I got this ready for Stephanie! :-)
- Goal #6: Plan out July 4th. Yes. We had a great time just staying at home and walking into the backyard for the fireworks. We also had a very yummy meal of hamburgers, hot dogs, and potato salad!
Here are my goals for this week!
Goal #1: Run every day! Even with Stephanie here I still plan to wake up every day and run! :-)
Goal #2: Roll, stretch, and ice daily. Gotta keep this up to stay injury free.
Goal #3: Maintain my weight by logging my calories. With Stephanie here I know we will be eating out more because she wants to eat at some of her favorite restaurants here. But I plan on making wise choices as well as splurging some.
Goal #4: Incorporate some weight training into my routine. Stephanie is doing the challenge with me so this goal will definitely happen this week!
Goal #5: Have fun with Stephanie and her kids! We plan on doing lots of fun stuff while she is here! :-)
That's it for the week! I'm really focusing on spending time with Stephanie while she is here! It will be a fun two weeks!
I hope you all have a great week of accomplishing your goals this week!

Fitness Friday...July 3rd Edition!
Wow! It's already July! My summer is going by way too fast!
First off...I want to wish everyone a very happy 4th of July!!! I hope you have a blast celebrating and enjoying living in our amazing and free country!
This week was a busy one! On Monday we had a play date with friends. My house was so loud...and full of laughter! It was great! These kids are so awesome! They put on "shows" for me! I LOVED seeing all their creativity and imaginations at work! They had me laughing so hard I was crying...so funny!!!
Tuesday was movie day with Jenny and her kids! But...as we were driving to the theater the weather got crazy! It was so windy! Pine straw and pine cones were hitting the car. But it wasn't raining even though it looked like it was about to storm. And once we got closer to the theater we could see that the power was out! So...no movie for us. But we still turned our day into a sunny one! Jenny and I got our Starbucks and then we went to Chick fil A and talked for hours! So fun!!!
On Wednesday the boys and I went to one of the free summer kid movies at our local theater. They were playing "The Book of Life." We had never seen it and it was pretty cute!
Thursday was spent cleaning the house. My friend Stephanie arrives with her three kids tonight!!! We are headed today to New Orleans to get her from the airport! Yay!!!
I completed my June strength training challenge (successfully) and have found a new challenge for July! Head over to FitFluential to get all the details and enter a giveaway.
Now it's time for Fitness Friday! I had a great week of runs...and strength training! I also hit some milestones this week! I hit day 400 of my run streak on Sunday!!! Wow! And on Tuesday I did a 5 minute plank!!! All I can say about that is...OUCH lol!
QOTD: What was your best run or workout this week?

My runs were great this week! It's still really hot and humid outside. And this week I had to deal with a dead armadillo on the sidewalk I run on. By day 4 he started to smell awful and I almost threw up when I had to pass him on my run. Luckily that afternoon the city disposed of him. But some of his guts are still on the sidewalk so there is still an awful smell. Hopefully it will rain soon and get rid of it!
I'm running the All 4 Run Virtual Race today as my long run for the weekend. We will be getting in from New Orleans pretty late tonight so I wanted to get my long run over with. I'm so excited to see my friend Stephanie!!!! She will be here for two weeks so please forgive me if I don't post as often while she's here.
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! Happy Independence Day!!!

5 Hot and Humid Miles!
Well since I went on vacation to Disney, it has been two weeks since I've run anything over 3 miles. So I was ready for a longer run this weekend! After talking to Jenny and Andria, we decided to run 5 miles!
As soon as I stepped outside the humidity hit me full force. It was super super humid and hot. I knew that was going to make the run harder than normal. But we were still going to give it our best!
It seemed from the very start of the run that I was struggling to breathe. Luckily with three women there is lots of talking going on to distract you from the run! :-)
We were running my favorite route that leads to downtown! I just love this route and all the different scenery! The road in the picture below has beautiful houses!
We made it halfway and stopped for a few quick pictures in front of City Hall! I love this fountain in front! And...it was an excuse not only for pictures but for a quick breather. I'm telling you...that humidity was no joke y'all!
Finally it was time to head back home! It was so hot and humid! But we made it! We ran those 5 miles and got it done!!!
And then I have to laugh at our watches. Andria stopped hers at mile 4 and Jenny forgot to restart hers. So we all had something different! Pretty funny!
My sweet hubby took this picture of us after the run. You can see how sweaty we all were! It really was super super hot and humid!
So thankful for these amazing ladies!!! They make running so much more fun!!!
QOTD: How do you deal with the heat and humidity? Do you keep running, take a break, or take it inside?
