The Weekly Chase #197!

Happy Halloween everyone! And...happy birthday to my amazing husband!!! And...MY birthday is TOMORROW!!!!!! Yeah...I'm a little excited about all the festivities this week! ;-)

We have several friends coming over tonight to eat pizza, trick or treat, and celebrate Andy's birthday! It's our Halloween/Birthday tradition and we are so excited!!!

We had an amazing weekend! We started it off Friday night by going to the gym to do BodyPump! My hubby came with me and we had a great workout!!! Then it was pizza time! It's our Friday night tradition!!!

Saturday morning I woke up super early to get in a long run. I ran a 10K...in the dark! But I got it done! Then I headed to the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk with Andy and the boys. We were doing a water stop with the Boy Scouts! It was fun!

Our friends Kirstin, Jim, and Maddy were out participating in the walk so we got to see them as they came through!

After the walk we went with one of the other Boy Scout leaders to tour his office. He works at Airbus! It was really neat seeing how airplanes are made! The boys loved it!

The rest of the day we spent cleaning the house! It felt so good to get everything really clean!

I also sent the hubby out for Halloween candy and he came home with this!!! We have a TON!!!! But that's ok since Halloween is one of my favorite holidays!!! ;-)

Saturday night we attended a cul-de-sac Halloween party! We had a blast! Lots of yummy food and sitting around a fire! And of course I had to wear my Halloween LulaRoe leggings!

We had some The Walking Dead fans there...which will understand this skull cake! ;-)

One of the couples dressed up as Negan and "Lucille" from The Walking Dead! I just had to have some fun photo opps!!! So fun!

Negan about to swing Lucille! Lol!

It was such a fun night!!! Sunday we all slept in since we had a late night! Of course I got my run in and then it was time for coffee! The night before, Kirstin's husband Jim surprised both of us! Our friend Tyler's mom had come to visit. She lives in Hawaii. Jim arranged for her to bring me and Kirstin the Hawaii You Are Here Starbucks mug from there! He gave it to us at the Halloween party! We were sooooo excited and happy!!!

So of course that's the mug I had to drink my coffee out of Sunday morning! The hubby (and Archie) joined me on the back porch!

The rest of the day we finished up cleaning the house and getting laundry done. We also took Archie to the dog park to play. He had a blast! And he met a new friend named Rocky! Rocky is a Great Dane and weighs 150 pounds! He was HUGE! Archie (who weighs 70 pounds) looked so small next to him! Rocky was so sweet, calm, and beautiful!!!

Now it's time for the Weekly Chase! It's a new week and I have new goals to achieve! I hope you will link up your own goals with me too! And feel free to use the badge below in your post too! You can grab the badge HERE! :-)

Fitness Friday...October 28th Edition!

Happy Friday y'all! I'm so glad it's the weekend!!!

I'll start out this post with a super cute Archie story! I was heading to the gym on Monday and he decided he didn't want me to leave! I was trying to get my shoes on and he literally climbed in my lap! So funny!

This week was Red Ribbon Week at the boys' school. They had fun things every day! Monday was wear a red shirt to school to show your commitment to be drug free!

Tuesday was crazy hair day! Hayden decided he was too cool to participate on this day lol!

Wednesday was silly sock day!

Thursday was wear pajamas to school day!

And today they could dress as their favorite super hero! They both chose to wear their Captain America shirts!

Even though it was a little stressful for this momma the boys had a fun week!

My week was pretty busy like always! Today is our Fall Festival at school and we've been busy getting prepared for it. It is always a lot of fun!

This week I also got to wear a ton of my LulaRoe clothes! Y'all I am just so in love with these clothes! They are so cute and super super comfy!

I wore leggings and an Irma top on Monday! (This picture cracks me up every time I look at it! Silly Archie!!!)

I woke my favorite LulaRoe dress...the Nicole...on Wednesday! And I had some fun taking pictures in it lol!

And on Thursday I wore more leggings and an Irma top!

This week Archie had his second dog training class! He was so excited on the way there! During the loose leash walking practice Archie proceeded to pee on one of the chairs though! LOL! We WERE practicing walking and peeing is what we do during walks lol! I was so embarrassed but the owner was super nice about it and went and got his mop and mopped it right up! Hopefully Archie doesn't do that again lol!

Now it's time for Fitness Friday! I had a great week of runs and workouts this week! Once again I got in my 2 strength training sessions!

  • Friday- 2.2 mile run in 17:21 average pace 7:52
  • Saturday- 4.3 mile run in 34:13 average pace 7:56
  • Sunday- 3.5 mile run in 27:27 average pace 7:50
  • Monday- 2.6 mile run in 20:46 average pace 7:55, Strength training: BodyPump

  • Tuesday- 2.5 mile run in 20:07 average pace 8:01
  • Wednesday- 2.5 mile run in 20:00 average pace 7:56, Strength training: BodyPump

  • Thursday- 2.6 mile run in 20:42 average pace 7:53

I had a great week of runs! The cooler weather we've had recently really helped! I'm loving all the average paces in the 7's this week...even though it's high 7's it's 7's!!!!

Unfortunately it's getting hotter and humid again. I'm hoping the cooler weather eventually stays but you never know here on the Gulf Coast!

This weekend I'm going to try to run 5-6 miles. We are volunteering with the Boy Scouts at the Breast Cancer Walk on Saturday. We are doing a water stop. So if I run Saturday I will need to run super early. Or I could wait until Sunday. Trying to decide!

I made my training schedule for my next half marathon. It's at the end of January so I technically don't need to start training until the beginning of December. Yay! I'm going to enjoy some down time this month!

I hope you all have a great weekend! I'm looking forward to Halloween because it's my hubby's birthday...and then the next day (November 1st) is MY birthday!!!!

QOTD: What is your next race? What was your best run or workout this week?

The Weekly Chase #196!

Happy Monday y'all!!! I had a great and relaxing weekend! It was much needed!

Friday afternoon Archie and I enjoyed the cooler fall weather on our afternoon walk!

Later that night I attended a boutique clothing sale where a portion of the proceeds went towards my friend Paige's fundraising for her St. Jude Memphis Marathon! I got several cute tops at great prices! And the best part was helping the kids of St. Jude!

Saturday morning I slept in! It was glorious! Since I have a few weeks before I need to start training for my next half marathon in January I didn't worry about doing a long run this weekend. I slept in and then lazed around the house for a few minutes after I got up! I got to love on this sweet boy before heading out to run!

Since it was in the high 40's outside I didn't worry about starting my run too late. I didn't have to beat the heat like I usually do! I ended up running a little over 4 miles.

My boys enjoyed being lazy that morning too! And Archie had to be involved as well lol!

I enjoyed my coffee in my so comfy LulaRoe leggings!

I'm seriously addicted to these leggings y'all! They are the softest things I have ever felt! And they are so very comfortable as well as super cute!

Later that morning we went shopping! On our list included getting the boys their Halloween costumes. I NEVER wait this late but luckily the boys got exactly what they wanted!

Yep...Sawyer is going to be The Mad Hatter and Hayden is going to be the poop emoji!!!! LOL! Hilarious! I couldn't talk him out of it lol!

After shopping we went out to lunch with the hubby. Then we took Archie for a walk in the gorgeous fall weather! Then it was time for coffee! My friend Kirstin wanted to meet at Starbucks and of course I never turn down that kind of invitation! Kirstin was wearing her LulaRoe leggings too! SO cute!

For dinner we went out to eat with Kirstin and her family and our friends Sarah and Tyler! It was a fun night!

Sunday I slept in again! It was cold outside again and I didn't end up running until around 8:45 that morning! I ran 3.5 miles AND I PRed my 5K time! Sweet!

The rest of the day was spent doing laundry and getting ready for the week. We did take lunch to Andy's work (he had to work all weekend long because he has a deadline).

And I wore my cute pumpkin girl LulaRoe leggings!

We also took Archie to the dog park and he had a blast with about 6 other dogs!

That night we went to my friend Lora's house for the premier of The Walking Dead!!! Wow y'all!

Snapchat had a fun filter in celebration of the premier!
