The Weekly Chase #96!

Brrr! It was a super cold weekend here on the Gulf Coast! But despite the cold...we had a blast! It started out on Friday night when we celebrated my husband's birthday AND Halloween! Andy's family came over and my sister and her family came too! I'll tell you more about our Halloween tomorrow but here's a sneak peak! Hayden dressed up as Dave the Minion and Sawyer was a green ninja!

Saturday was MY birthday! I woke up super early to run a 10K race! It was brutally cold with a strong north wind. It was pretty miserable standing around before the race. I'll tell you more on Wednesday but I DID manage a birthday PR! :-)

The rest of the day my family made me feel so special for my birthday! And later that night I got to celebrate with friends AND an Auburn football win! If you saw the Auburn/Ole Miss game you know about the tragic leg injury to one of Ole Miss's players. It was heartbreaking seeing it. I'm glad my team was able to win but I wish no one had been injured. So sad.

Sunday was a lazy day. We so needed it after some late nights all weekend. And the best gift that me and my husband could have ever been given? Hayden accepted Jesus into his heart Sunday morning!!!! He told me he wanted to be saved and after some questions to make sure he understood my baby prayed the sinner's prayer and became a Christian! My heart is overflowing!

Now it's time for another Weekly Chase! I'm ready to tell you all about my goals for this week! I hope you will link up your own goals with me too! And feel free to use the badge below in your post too! You can grab the badge HERE! :-)

Road Runner Girl

Here are my goals from last week!

  • Goal #1: Run every day! Yes! The streak lives on!
  • Goal #2: Run mostly 1 milers this week. Yes! I ran all one milers except for my 10K race on Saturday.
  • Goal #3: Roll, stretch, and ice daily. Yes. The rolling seems to be helping the tight calf. I'm just hoping I can roll the knot all away soon!
  • Goal #4: Maintain my weight by logging my calories. Yes! I did good...even with all the birthday and Halloween indulgences!
  • Goal #5: Get my monthly calendar done for school. Yes! I got this done on Wednesday!
  • Goal #6: Make Halloween and Andy's birthday FUN! I had a blast! Hopefully Andy and the boys did too!
Here are the goals I'm chasing this week!

Goal #1: Run every day! I am still loving my run streak...even though it's been pretty cold the past few days. I'm hoping I can keep it going through the winter.

Goal #2: Run mostly 1 milers this week. My calf started feeling better last week when I was only running one mile each day. Then Saturday's 10K race made it sore again. It still feels really tight. When I roll it out it feels a lot better. But once it tightens up again it hurts. The first few steps of my run are always hard because I can really feel it. But then it loosens up some. Hopefully I can eventually roll the knot out and it will get better. But for now I'm going to take it as easy as I can without having to stop my run streak.

Goal #3: Roll, stretch, and ice daily. Especially the tight calf!

Goal #4: Maintain my weight by logging my calories. I'm still watching what I'm eating but allow myself a little more indulgences now that I'm maintaining. Yes...I had birthday cake this weekend! But logging all my food keeps me accountable and keeps me from eating too much. I don't want to fall back into old habits. I love where I am now weight wise!

Goal #5: Write my post for Alabama Women Bloggers. I am the blogger of the month over at Alabama Women Bloggers and the topic is "Fitness in the Fall!" Each week this month I will be writing a post. Be sure to head over there and check it out! :-)

So that's the plan for the week! Good luck with your goals this week too!

QOTD: What goals are you chasing this week?
