Fitness Friday...July 15th Edition!

Happy Friday y'all!!! Who's ready for the weekend? We had a fun week this week! The boys had Vacation Bible School at our church every night this week. So that meant dinner and gym time with the hubby and friends without kids! :-)

The other nice thing about our church's VBS is that they feed the kids dinner every night! Here they are with their friend Maddy on the first night eating hamburgers!

Me and my hubby went to dinner with our friends Kirstin and Jim and their parents. We ate at the Mediterranean Sandwich Company (Greek food y'all) and it was so good! We don't go there often because my boys don't like anything there. So it was a nice treat!

After dinner we all went to the gym to workout. And my hubby and I didn't plan it but we matched!!! 

Tuesday afternoon I met my Instagram friend Heather and Jenny at the yogurt place. Heather lives in Texas but was in town. It was so good to see her!!!

That night while the kids were at VBS we went to Kirstin's house to eat dinner. She made a yummy meal for us!!! 

Wednesday we ate lunch with Andy. Then we went to Target to kill some time. The boys LOVE looking at Legos there! Kirstin came and met us. Then we went to Starbucks of course! 

That night we all went to the gym. I talked Andy into doing the BodyPump class and he did amazing!!!

Thursday morning I drank out of the new coffee mug that my hubby brought me from Boy Scout Camp! It is handmade and so pretty! 

While Sawyer was at gymnastics that afternoon Hayden and I had a lunch date! It was nice having some one on one time with him! 

Now it's time for Fitness Friday! I ran AND worked out at the gym this week. I only planked once (during BodyPump Class) this week though because I've been dealing with a little bit of groin/ab pain. Planking hurts it so I'm taking a break until it feels better. 

  • Friday- 2.56 mile run in 20:30 average pace 8:01
  • Saturday- 6.21 mile run in 55:00 average pace 8:51, Strength training: BodyPump
  • Sunday- 2.27 mile run in 18:38 average pace 8:12
  • Monday- 2.06 mile run in 16:53 average pace 8:11, Strength training: Chest, biceps, back
  • Tuesday- 2.61 mile run in 21:15 average pace 8:09
  • Wednesday- 2.56 mile run in 20:37 average pace 8:03, Strength training: BodyPump
  • Thursday- 2.56 mile run in 20:27 average pace 8:00

I'm so proud that I was able to get in all my runs AND strength training 3 times this week! I'm so loving being able to go to the gym!!! 

This weekend I'm going to the Shakespeare Festival with Kirstin and her daughter Maddy to celebrate Maddy's birthday! I'm excited! I'm hoping to get in at least 3-4 miles before we go. Not sure if I'll get in a long run this weekend but that's the joy of not training for anything at the moment.
