Virtual Coffee Date...October 3rd!

Hey friends! Grab your favorite cup of coffee and let's have a virtual coffee date!!! Have a seat and let's chat!

If we were having coffee today, I would tell you that this is my favorite time of year! I already have my fall and Halloween decorations out. I love it! I love all the scarecrows, pumpkins, friendly ghosts and spiders, and dressing up my boys in costumes! I love the cooler weather (especially for running) and the fun family activities like the corn maze!

If we were having coffee today, I would tell you that I have a new niece! Yes, my oldest sister Christy had a baby girl last Monday! Her name is Ella Kate and she was 7 lbs. 14 oz. when she was born. She is absolutely gorgeous! Unfortunately they live in San Francisco (all the way across the country from me) so I'm not sure when I will get to officially meet her. But I've been enjoying seeing pictures of her!

If we were having coffee today, I would tell you that I am so excited about all my favorite TV shows coming back on! I love Once Upon a Time, Revenge, Scandal, Parenthood, and The Vampire Diaries. I also started watching Hostages last week and it was pretty good!

If we were having coffee today, I would tell you that I am so excited about my next half marathon! I'm most excited about spending that weekend with my friend Paige! I seriously need some girl time!

If we were having coffee today, I would tell you that I am really nervous about meeting my fundraising goal for the St. Jude Memphis Half Marathon. I committed to raise $500. So far I have raised $340. So I have $160 more to go. I'm nervous because I have to have the money raised by November 15th or the remainder goes on my credit card! So...if you'd like to help me and donate you can do that HERE! ;-) It would be soooo appreciated!!!

If we were having coffee today, I would tell you about a new book series that I started reading. It is called the Delirium Series and is by Lauren Oliver. If you like Divergent you will love this one too! I'm already on the second book!

I hope you enjoyed your coffee! Mine was delicious! Thanks for chatting with me!

QOTD: If we were having coffee today, what would you tell me?

The Weekly Chase #21

Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a great weekend! Mine was super busy but a lot of fun! Friday was Sawyer's kindergarten graduation. Saturday we went and watched my friend's daughter's dance recital. It was so cute!!! Sunday I ran 6 miles, went to church, went to my friend Stephanie's going away party, attended Hayden's Cub Scouts Crossover ceremony (he's officially a Bear now), and it was our 12th wedding anniversary! Whew! Here are a few pics from the weekend! You can see more on Instagram...make sure you're following me!

It's Monday so you know what time it is...Weekly Chase time! Time to declare those goals and get after them!

Road Runner Girl

For the month of May Molly has a new challenge for us! It's called Bring a Friend Along. We want you to bring a friend into part of your goal making...whether it be for exercising, sanity, prayer partners, etc. We all know how important goal setting is...let's get our friends involved with us!

Here are the goals I had last week:

  • Goal #1: Communicate with my accountability partner for my daily Bible devotions (challenge goal). Yes although I wish I had communicated a little more with her. I did tell her about a new devotion I started from She Reads Truth. It's a study from Nehemiah and I'm really enjoying it!
  • Goal #2: Stretch and roll every day. Yikes! I was super bad about doing this this week. I only stretched and rolled on the days I ran.
  • Goal #3: Work on fundraising for the St. Jude's Memphis Half Marathon. Got a little more done on my fundraising page. And I started brainstorming ideas.
  • Goal #4: Run at least 3 times this week. Yep! I ran on Monday night, Thursday night, and a long run on Sunday.
  • Goal #5: Make Friday a special day for Sawyer as he graduates from Kindergarten. Yes! I think he had a great day! We went to lunch with friends. Later that afternoon he wanted to get fro-yo and walk around in Pet Smart. That night we had dinner at the place of his choice with the grandparents. He seemed to have had a fun day!

Here are my goals for this week:

Goal #1: Communicate with my accountability partner for my daily Bible devotions (challenge goal). I hope to communicate a little more with her this week.

Goal #2: Stretch and roll every day. Must make this a routine before serious training starts!

Goal #3: Work on fundraising for the St. Jude's Memphis Half Marathon. I need to contact some people about my fundraising ideas. Here's my fundraising page if you would like to donate! ;-)

Goal #4: Run at least 3 times this week.

Goal #5: Make better food choices and decrease my portion sizes. I will admit that I don't eat as well as I should. I am a southern girl at heart and I love my fried homecooked food...and pizza. But after pulling out my shorts this past week for the summer...I need to shed a few pounds. My shorts are fitting a little tighter than I would like them to. So my plan is to make better food choices as well as not eating so much. I know this will take some determination but I am ready to do it.

So there's my plan for the week! It's also the last week of school this week! Summer is here and I can't wait to spend it with my boys! Oh yeah...and we are going to Disney World this summer too! Yay!!! :-)

QOTD: What goals are you chasing this week? Any helpful diet tips for me?

The Weekly Chase #20

I hope everyone had a great weekend! And to all the mothers out there...I hope you had a great day yesterday! Saturday morning we had a rainy yard sale. Then we spent the rest of the day with my friend Stephanie and her family. Sunday I woke up early for a run...a great way to start out my Mother's Day! Then we went to church and to lunch with Andy's Mom and Dad. It was a great day!

It's time for another Weekly Chase! I love telling you my goals for the week! I hope you will join us this week!

Road Runner Girl

It's also a new month and Molly has a new challenge for us! It's called Bring a Friend Along. We want you to bring a friend into part of your goal making...whether it be for exercising, sanity, prayer partners, etc. We all know how important goal setting is...let's get our friends involved with us!

Here are my goals from last week and how I did:

  • Goal #1: Find an accountability partner for my daily Bible devotions (challenge goal). Yes!
  • Goal #2: Stretch and roll every day. I didn't do too well with this this week. I stretched and rolled on the days that I ran but that was it.
  • Goal #3: Finish cleaning out my closet. Yes! And we had the garage sale...but it rained so it wasn't as successful as we hoped but we still made a little bit of money.
  • Goal #4: Work on fundraising for the St. Jude's Memphis Half Marathon. I got my fundraising page all set up. I even received two donations this week! My goal is $500...I have raised $85 so far.
  • Goal #5: Run at least 3 times this week. 75%. I only got to run twice this week. Hayden was sick with strep throat three days last week...so I didn't get one of my runs in. I did run 3 miles on Thursday and 5 miles on Sunday.

I'm hoping this week will be a little more successful! Here are the goals I am chasing:

Goal #1: Communicate with my accountability partner for my daily Bible devotions (challenge goal).

Goal #2: Stretch and roll every day.

Goal #3: Work on fundraising for the St. Jude's Memphis Half Marathon. This will be an ongoing goal for me until I raise the amount of money I pledged to raise. If I can get just 21 people to donate $20 I will make my goal! Here's my fundraising page if you want to donate!!! ;-)

Goal #4: Run at least 3 times this week.

Goal #5: Make Friday a special day for Sawyer as he graduates from Kindergarten. I can't believe my baby is graduating kindergarten!!! His graduation ceremony is Friday morning. Afterwards I want to have a special day just celebrating him!

So that's the plan for the week!

QOTD: What are your goals this week?
