The Weekly Chase #170!

Happy Monday y'all! And good luck to everyone running the Boston Marathon today!!!

I hope you had a great weekend! My hubby and Hayden were camping with the Boy Scouts this weekend so it was just me and Sawyer most of the weekend. But we had fun just the two of us!

Did anyone else enjoy all the pictures from the Star Wars The Dark Side Half Marathon this weekend? I think this race is gonna be a must for me! It looked like so much fun!!!

The weekend started on Friday afternoon. Hayden and Sawyer warmed my heart when they were saying goodbye. These boys love each other so much! Sawyer started crying because he was going to miss Hayden so much while he was gone camping. I LOVE that they are best friends!

I had some time to myself Friday afternoon after Andy and Hayden left because Sawyer was at gymnastics. So what's a mom to do with time all by herself??? Shop of course!!! I headed to Old Navy and got this super cute dress on sale!

Then I picked Sawyer up from gymnastics and we got pizza for dinner. Then we headed to Petco because he wanted to look at all the animals. We ended up seeing some friends there and stayed in there until they closed lol! It was a fun Friday night!

Saturday morning I ran 7.25 miles. It was super windy but I still had a great run. And I wore my new Summit print skirt from Running Skirts! Isn't it just adorable??!!

The rest of the day was a Sawyer and Mommy day! We went shopping some more that morning. Surprisingly Sawyer enjoyed the shopping! That's probably because he got some new shorts and paracord for his bracelet making hobby!

For lunch I told him he could choose wherever he wanted to go. He chose Moe's Southwest Grill...one of his favorites! Now don't get me wrong....I like Moe's. But we eat it pretty often and I've been burned out on it for the past 6 months probably lol! But I went just for Sawyer!

Later on that afternoon Sawyer wanted frozen yogurt. The deal was that Mommy gets Starbucks first! He agreed and we were both happy campers!

Then we decided to go for a walk at our favorite spot by the bay! We had so much fun! He showed me his new skill of skipping rocks! And we even saw an alligator!

We ended our fun day by going to dinner with our friends the Brendels who were celebrating their 15th wedding anniversary! We ate at Gambino's Italian Grill and it was amazingly delicious!!!

It was such a fun day with my Sawyer boy!!!

Sunday morning I woke up to sunny skies! I was so happy to see the sun since it was cloudy all day the day before. But it was still super windy. I still had a great 2.5 mile run!

Then it was time for church! And I wore my new dress!

Sunday afternoon we enjoyed the gorgeous weather outside with friends! We had coffee at Starbucks!

The kids flew kites!

And we took a walk!

Then we all went out for dinner. It was a perfect ending to a fun weekend!

Now it's time for the Weekly Chase! It's a new week and I have new goals to achieve! I hope you will link up your own goals with me too! And feel free to use the badge below in your post too! You can grab the badge HERE! :-)

Road Runner Girl

Here are my goals from last week!
  • Goal #1: Run every day! Yes! I reached day 695 yesterday! Day 700 is almost here! I just wish it would fall on Saturday so I could run 7 miles on that day. I just don't have time to run that far on a weekday.
  • Goal #2: Roll, stretch, and ice daily. Yes!
  • Goal #3: Maintain my weight by logging my calories. Yes!
  • Goal #4: Move 11,000 steps or more each day this week. Yes!
  • Goal #5: Run at least 1 run under 2 miles. Yes!
  • Goal #6: Focus on portion sizes. Yes! I did much better with this! I even watched my portion sizes on Saturday night at the Italian restaurant. I only ate half a breadstick which was tough for me lol!
  • Goal #7: Don't be too tempted with sweets this week. Man did my students tempt me! I indulged some but feel like I didn't overdo it.

Here are my goals for this week!

Every week goals:

Goal #1: Run every day!
Goal #2: Roll, stretch, and ice daily.
Goal #3: Maintain my weight by logging my calories.
Goal #4: Move 11,000 steps or more each day this week.
Goal #5: Run at least 1 run under 2 miles.

Goal #6: Eat less calories each day. So the scale has started creeping up. I noticed a 4 pound gain and I am NOT happy with that. So I have readjusted my calorie allowance in My Fitness Pal and am going to try to lose those 4 pounds. For a few weeks I've told myself the gain was just water weight. But I've finally admitted that it's something more. I've been indulging more than I should have. I haven't been making the healthiest choices lately. I've gotta get it in check. I worked too hard to lose it to gain it back.

Goal #7: Complete at least one page of the memory books this week. I will be giving my preschool students a memory book when they graduate in a few weeks. I need to get started on these so I'm not stressed about them closer to time.

So those are my goals for this week! I hope you have a great week!

QOTD: What are your goals this week?
