Fitness Friday...August 14th Edition!

Happy Friday y'all! It's been such a busy week for me! It was back to work for me this week.  I had teacher meetings Monday thru Wednesday. School starts on Monday! Our summer is officially over!

My boys stayed with my in-laws Sunday thru Thursday so I could attend all my meetings. They had a blast with them! I'm so glad their grandparents made their last week of summer fun for them! But this momma missed my boys!

On Monday I had a staff meeting all day. But my preschool directors really know how to make us feel welcome! They always give us the best goodies!

And they bought us lunch at my new favorite place...Chicken Salad Chick! That night Andy and I went out to eat dinner...with no kids! It was nice spending time together just the two of us!

Tuesday I had a grade level meeting. Then we had a workshop on Autism. Then I spent the rest of the day preparing my classroom for Parent Night that night! I had a few hours in the afternoon before I had to head back up to school so I grabbed some Starbucks!

I was back at school at 5:45 PM for Parent Night. I got to meet all my students' parents and they were all super nice!

Here is most of my wonderful co-workers! I work in the most amazing preschool and am so blessed!

Wednesday was Meet the Teacher day! I got to meet all my new PreK students! They were all sooo cute and super sweet! It's going to be such a great school year! hasn't even started yet and they already brought me gifts! So sweet!

Wednesday afternoon I relaxed! I was tired from the hectic week thus far! That night me and my hubby had a date night! We went out to dinner and for a walk to watch the sunset!

Thursday I went to my friend Lora's house for a pool party. Her son was in my PreK class last year and she had a pool party for all the soon to be kindergartners! So I got to see several of the kids from my class last year! Sooo awesome! I love those kiddos!

That afternoon my boys got home from their grandparents! I gave them lots and lots of hugs and kisses! I missed them so much! Then we headed to their school to meet their teachers for the new school year!

I think we are all going to have a great school year!!!

Now it's time for Fitness Friday! I got all my runs in this week! I even walked a little over a mile each day after my runs. I'm going to miss those walks next week when I'm back at work!

  • Friday- #plankaday 2:05, 2.52 mile run in 20:42 average pace 8:12

  • Saturday- 2.26 mile run in 18:44 average pace 8:17
  • Monday- #plankaday 2:30, 2.11 mile run in 17:08 average pace 8:08

  • Tuesday- #plankaday 2:05, 2.28 mile run in 18:34 average pace 8:09

  • Wednesday- #plankaday 2:15, 2.32 mile run in 18:59 average pace 8:11

  • Thursday- #plankaday 2:15, 2.12 mile run in 17:07 average pace 8:04

My runs were great this week! My legs were tired a few of the days but it didn't stop me! I kept running! I know when school starts I'm going to be really tired the first few weeks. Getting back into the routine and going back to work wears me out! Plus I will be waking up about 35 minutes earlier to get my runs in. But I'm determined to continue my run streak!

This weekend I am running 6 miles for Gulf Coast Half Marathon training! I'm glad it's a taper week!
