Fitness Friday...August 21st Edition!

What a busy week! It was the first week of school for us! The boys had a great week in 3rd and 5th grade! And I had a great week in preschool! I have the sweetest little class and can tell it's going to be a really good year! But I forgot how tiring it is to teach preschool lol! I've been so tired all week! I know I will get used to the routine again soon.

On Monday it was the first day for us. The boys were super excited that morning! We took our annual first day of school pictures of course!

And then of course I had to have a first day of preK picture with some of my coworkers!!!

I had a great first day of school! And my preschool and new students spoiled me with goodies on the first day! :-)

Tuesday was another good day! But I was starting to feel the exhaustion lol! When I got home from school I went to get the mail and saw this in my driveway! Yikes! He was really tiny (that's why I put my foot in the picture). But even tiny snakes scare me!

Tuesday night I got in a walk while the boys rode their bikes in the church parking lot! We live in the front of our neighborhood and there's lots of traffic so the boys don't have a place to ride. They had a blast! And this Mom burned some calories too!

Wednesday I had an even better day at school! All the kiddos are starting to get the routine! That afternoon I took dinner to my friend Susanne. She just had shoulder surgery but is recovering well! It was so good to see her! It has been awhile!

Sawyer has gymnastics on Wednesday nights. One of the other moms always brings several of the boys home after practice. Sawyer LOVES this even though it's only about a 2 minute drive! See how happy he is in the backseat of the car with his teammates??!! So cute!

Thursday after school I had a dentist appointment. It was time for my cleaning. Always fun times lol!

Now it's time for Fitness Friday! I had a great week of runs! Once school started I had to wake up earlier and that resulted in running in the dark. I'm not fond of that. I so enjoy running around 6:00AM when the sun is out. But it's what I have to do now that I'm back at work.

  • Friday- #plankaday 2:05, 6.21 mile run in 53:37 average pace 8:38

  • Saturday- 2.31 mile run in 18:45 average pace 8:08, 3.67 mile walk with my hubby

  • Sunday- 2.52 mile run in 20:26 average pace 8:06
  • Monday- 2.12 mile run in 17:15 average pace 8:08
  • Tuesday- #plankaday 2:05, 2.12 mile run in 17:13 average pace 8:08

  • Wednesday- #plankaday 2:05, 2.12 mile run in 17:25 average pace 8:12

  • Thursday- #plankaday 2:05, 2.29 mile run in 18:54 average pace 8:16

I had a great week of runs! It was hard getting up earlier but there's no way I could have waited until after school to do it! I was soooo tired all week lol! Plus it's just a great way to start my day!

This weekend I have 9 miles on the schedule! I'm hoping for a great run!
