This week the schedule called for 8 miles. My Sole2Soul Sisters had planned a run for Sunday so I decided to join them. We were starting less than a mile from my house so it was really convenient for me too!

The weather was forecasted to have a heat index of 110° so I knew it was going to be hot! They were starting at 5AM though so I knew not having the sun beating on us would be a good thing.

I ran with Gina and Kristy who are about my same pace. It was nice having someone to talk to throughout the run! We were also running my favorite route to downtown!

The run started out great. It was a little scary because it was dark out. But luckily Gina had on a light and it helped us see the road in front of us.

Before long we made it to mile 3 and our first water stop. We needed that water by then. It was so hot and humid! And we were sweating like crazy. We kept going another mile before we turned around and headed back. We stopped for water a second time at mile 5. Normally I don't need that many water stops but this run my body needed it. I was so thankful for the water!

By mile 5 the sun was also starting to come up! I love running and seeing the sunrise!

We had 3 miles to go! I was feeling good except for being so hot. And it was just so beautiful seeing the sunrise!

The last mile got tough. I got a side stitch. I'm not sure if it was because I was talking so much or what. But it was tough to keep going. But I knew I could overcome that side stitch! And I did! I finished strong even though I was in pain lol!

I'm proud of my pace! Being under a 9 minute mile for a long run in those super hot and humid conditions is tough!

After the run we walked a little to cool down. We were dripping with sweat! You can see how wet my skirt was in the pictures below. It was sticking to me it was so wet! Gross!

Me and Gina!

Me and Kristy!

I'm so thankful I got to run with these sweet ladies!!!

QOTD: What is your favorite temperature to run in?
