Fitness Friday...September 9th Edition!

Happy Friday y'all! It was so nice having a 4 day work week this week!

On Monday (Labor Day) we hung around the house for most of the day. We did venture out for some lunch and a little shopping at the Bass Pro Shop! Yes...I'm outnumbered by boys in my family so I have to endure Bass Pro a lot lol!

Then we met some friends at Starbucks for some yummy afternoon coffee!

And then we all came back to our house and had pizza for dinner!

Later that night Andy and I took our nightly walk with Archie. We noticed that he seemed to be limping some. :-( So we brought him home and discovered he had something in one of the pads on his paw. It looked like it was a piece of glass but it was embedded so deep that we couldn't get it out...although my hubby tried. So the next day we took him to the vet. I had to leave him there for a few hours while they lightly sedated him to get it out. It was definitely a piece of tiny glass...poor baby! So glad we found it quickly and got it taken care of!

This week gymnastics started back for Sawyer (he had a 2 week break). His new gym also was ready and he got to practice there for the first time Tuesday night! He was so excited and the gym is so nice!

I'm also super happy that I got to workout with my guy this week! He created our workout and had my biceps, triceps, and shoulders on fire! I loved it!!!

Now it's time for Fitness Friday! I had a great week of runs and workouts!

  • Friday- 2.3 mile run in 19:14 average pace 8:11
  • Sunday- 2.4 mile run in 20:46 average pace 8:40
  • Monday- 3.1 mile run in 25:11 average pace 8:04
  • Tuesday- 2.4 mile run in 19:19 average pace 8:11
  • Wednesday- 2.4 mile run in 19:36 average pace 8:08, Strength training: biceps, triceps, shoulders

  • Thursday- 2.4 mile run in 19:32 average pace 8:06

So that was my week! I had a great week of runs! I can hardly believe I've reached day 840 of my run streak! I'm still loving it although of course some days are harder than others!

This weekend I have 10 miles on the schedule for half marathon training! Double digits! It's been so long since I've run double digits! I'm hoping for another great run! My goal is to run a pace of 9-9:30.

I hope you all have a great weekend!!!

QOTD: What was your best run or workout this week?
