It's also going to be good for me as it is taper week. I would normally run a lower mileage long run but due to my hip hurting I am just taking the weekend off. Camping will keep my mind off not being able to run.
I received several surprises this week! I just love surprises! Sarah from Mom Running on Empty sent me a happy in the mail...a BAMR Band with a Fleur De Lis on it! I LOVE it! Sarah and I are meeting in person in New Orleans in February for the Rock 'n' Roll New Orleans Marathon along with Abby from Back at Square Zero and Holly from Running and Baking Oh My! I can't wait to meet Sarah and Abby (I am lucky enough to get to run with Holly quite often)!
Yesterday morning I got a text from my friend Mindy (yes we are name twins). I was getting ready for work and she said she left me something on my porch. She made taco soup the night before (one of my favorite meals) and brought me leftovers for my lunch that day! It was soooo yummy!
It's time for Fitness Friday! I'm here to tell you all about my runs this week! I didn't get in all of the runs I had planned due to my hip flaring up again but I got a few in.
- Saturday- 11 mile run in 2:08:45 average pace 11:42
- Sunday- Rest
- Monday- #plankaday 1:05
- Tuesday- #plankaday 1:02, 3.11 mile run in 31:17 average pace 10:04
- Wednesday- #plankaday 1:11
- Thursday- #plankaday 1:02
- Friday- #plankaday 1:00
So that was my week fitness wise. I missed my Thursday run because my hip started hurting again after Tuesday's run. I'm hoping the rest from running this weekend will help my hip. I have my half marathon next weekend. I know it's only going to be for fun and my goal will be just to finish.
