Fitness Friday...July 24th Edition!

Wow! This week has flown by! We have had a ton of down time this week but that has been good. We needed it with being on the go every day the past two weeks with Stephanie and her kids being here. I will say....my house has been soooo quiet with them gone. We are missing them!

Monday was a fun day for me and my boys! The boys went to Grandma's house for the day. They went swimming and ate lots of yummy stuff including ice cream! I went to the beach with Jenny and Leigh for Jenny's birthday! And Brittney surprised Jenny in Starbucks before we headed to the beach! Brittney lives in Birmingham and drove here that morning so she could celebrate Jenny's birthday with her! It was the best surprise ever!!! We had a fun day!!!

Tuesday was spent at home doing laundry, cleaning the house, and catching up on emails and blog posts.

Wednesday we had more down time at home. Hayden decided to make his own version of "Mickey Waffles!"

We met Andy for lunch and for dinner since he had to work late that night. I love that he always works so hard to provide for us!

Thursday I had a professional development class for work. My friend Erika and I rode together! It's always more fun to attend these classes with friends!

Now...I have some exciting news for y'all! I have my own app!!!! Yes....you can download the roadrunnergirl app in the Apple App Store now for FREE!!! It includes my blog posts, Instagram, and Twitter feeds! You can also write comments! Don't ever miss my posts again! I feel super blessed to have my own app! Wow! Search for it in the app store with the word "roadrunnergirl." And thanks for downloading! :-)

Now it's time for Fitness Friday! I had a great week of runs this week! But I've been pushing hard. My goal today is to run easy and only run 1.5 miles. We will see if I actually listen. I'm so bad about getting out there and feeling great and pushing farther than I intended. As a run streaker I really need to take these "rest days" (easy one miler days).

  • Friday- #plankaday 2:10, 2.06 mile run in 16:44 average pace 8:08

  • Sunday- 2.06 mile run in 16:54 average pace 8:12
  • Monday- #plankaday 2:05, 100 second wall sit, 2.26 mile run in 18:37 average pace 8:14

  • Tuesday- #plankaday 2:15, 2.06 mile run in 16:56 average pace 8:12

  • Wednesday- #plankaday 2:05, 2.06 mile run in 16:57 average pace 8:14

  • Thursday- #plankaday 2:05, 100 mountain climbers, 2.06 mile run in 17:22 average pace 8:25

Like I said earlier, the runs were good this week. But I can tell my body is tired and needs a little bit of rest. I haven't been a very good streaker lately because I've been pushing every single run. I need to have a few easy runs of 1-1.5 miles each week in order to stay strong and injury free.

I'm still doing the FitFluential 100 challenge but didn't get to it every day this week. I'm doing what I can when I can (#wycwyc)!

Saturday morning Jenny and I are running 8 miles. I'm hoping for another great long run. It's gonna be another hot and humid morning but hopefully the run will be great!

QOTD: What was your best run or workout this week? Is the heat and humidity extreme in your area too?
