BSN Syntha-6 Isolate and Amino X Review

Disclaimer: I received this product free to review through a FitFluential campaign. I received no other compensation. All opinions in the above post are mine and mine alone!

As a runner I am always looking for products that will help me with endurance and recovery. So I was super excited to try these products from BSN: Syntha-6 and Amino X!

BSN Syntha-6 Isolate
This protein powder is made with 100% isolate protein sources. A 50/50 blend of whey protein isolate and milk protein isolate (a high-quality source of slow-digesting casein), the formula’s unique ISOLAST™ protein matrix delivers a mix of fast- and slow-release proteins that provide amino acids to fuel active muscles. Drinking SYNTHA-6™ ISOLATE provides the fast-releasing benefits of whey isolate and the prolonged amino acid release of casein for the ultimate post-workout recovery shake. (source

This protein powder is designed to promote muscle growth, protein synthesis, recovery, and nutrition. I used it mostly for the recovery aspect.

I liked that each serving has 25 grams of protein in it!

I was sent the chocolate milkshake flavor and it did NOT disappoint! I mixed it with fat free milk and it was delicious! I think this will be perfect mixed in a cold smoothie after those hot runs this summer!

BSN Amino X
This is BSN®'s first effervescent instantized Amino Acid product. There are 10 g of Micronized Anti-Catabolic Amino Acids per serving, 0 g of sugar per serving, and 500 IU of Vitamin D per serving. It is non-caffeinated so it can be used anytime, day or night. (source) I really like that because I drank it a few times before a night run and it didn't affect my sleep.

Amino X is designed to promote muscle sparing, protein synthesis, recovery, and endurance. I used it mostly for the endurance part. I drank this several times before a run and I really felt like it gave me more energy. I could really tell during those early 4:30am runs!

They sent me the watermelon flavor and it was so good! I love the flavor of watermelon so I knew right away I would probably like it! And the best part...there was no clumping when I mixed it! I do recommend stirring it instead of shaking it because of all the bubbles.

I really enjoyed trying these two products and will be a little sad when I use them all up. I definitely recommend them! Be sure to check out all that BSN has to offer!

QOTD: What type of supplements do you use? What's your favorite flavor of protein powder?
