Fitness Friday and Thoughts on Spirit of the Marathon II

It's been a crazy week! Lots of laundry and packing going on! But we are officially on our way to Disney!!!! Yay!!! I will be posting pics from our vacation all week so make sure you are following me on Instagram and Facebook!

As for the blog...I will be posting some but I also have some really awesome guests posts lined up for you to enjoy! Please show them some love!

I wanted to let you know about my thoughts on the Spirit of the Marathon II movie! I was super excited to receive a pass to see this movie from Fathom Events, although I would have gone to see this movie on my own. My running friend Mindy ( twins) came to see it with me!

The movie itself was fantastic! So inspirational! I loved every minute of it! I laughed, cried, and nodded my head in agreement at several parts of the movie. This is a movie every runner should see! I don't want to give away any of the details but make sure you see it when it comes out on DVD! Afterwards I walked out of the theater wanting to go for a run lol! This movie made me proud to be a runner!!!

Now it's time for Fitness Friday and for me to tell you all about my runs and workouts this week!

  • Saturday- #plankday 1:02, 5 mile run in 53:01 average pace 10:36

  • Sunday- #plankday 1:02, 1 mile run in 8:51

  • Monday- #plankday 1:05, 1 mile run in 8:52

  • Tuesday- #plankday 1:01, 1 mile run in 8:44

  • Wednesday- #plankday 1:03, 3 mile run in 29:44 average pace 9:54

  • Thursday- #plankday 1:01, 1 mile run in 8:54

  • Friday- #plankday 1:00, 1 mile run

I got all my runs in for the Run Streak...although I did miss one of my 3 mile runs. I ran 1 mile that day to not break the streak....the weather just wasn't cooperating for me to get 3 in that day. I had to run in between thunderstorms! 

Now's the hard part...keeping up the streak while I'm on vacation! My friend Stephanie and my mother-in-law have both promised to keep me accountable on the trip. My mother-in-law even said she'd run/walk with me! So hopefully I am successful! Wish me luck!
