Saturday morning I woke up super early (4:15 am) to get in a quick run for my streak. Then I met my friends at 5:30 am and headed to the beach to watch my friend Paige complete her first tri! There was also a great surprise for Paige at the finish line! Stay tuned tomorrow to find out what it was! ;-)
Later that day we hung out at the Bass Pro Shop with my sister! Yeah...they were dreaming about sitting around a campfire! ;-)
Sunday morning I ran an 8 mile long run. It's taper time for me! My next half is THIS WEEKEND!!!! After my run we went to church. Later that afternoon we met the family for dinner for my sister-in-law's birthday!
It was a busy but super fun weekend! But I will say that I did NOT get enough rest this weekend! I woke up at 4:15 am Saturday morning and 5:10 am Sunday morning. I am tired lol!

Here are my goals from last week!
- Goal #1: Run every day! Yes! My streak is still going strong! I was so proud of myself for getting up super early Saturday morning to run so that I didn't break the streak!
- Goal #2: Roll, stretch, ice daily. 50% this week. :-(
- Goal #3: Log and stay under all my calories this week. Yes! I'm staying within my calories but the scale is NOT budging this week! :-(
- Goal #4: Limit my snacking at night. 75%. I did a little better with this than in the past.
Here are the goals I'm chasing this week!
Goal #1: Run every day! Yes I'm going to keep streaking! I'm still enjoying it so much and really feel like it is making me a stronger runner!
Goal #2: Roll, stretch, ice daily. I need to do this EVERY day this week! Especially since I'm running a half marathon on Sunday. I want those muscles relaxed and ready!
Goal #3: Log and stay under all my calories this week. I'm staying within my calories but the scale hasn't budged all week. Luckily I am maintaining but I still have 2.5 more pounds that I want to lose. It's a lot harder now! I'm not sure why it's been such a struggle the past few weeks. Hopefully I can lose those pounds in the next 21 days for my DietBet!!! And yes...you can still join in HERE! ;-)
Goal #4: Hydrate and fuel for my 24th half marathon! I need to make sure to drink plenty of water this week. And you better believe I will be eating my pre-race pizza the night before the half!
Goal #5: Attempt a PR at Sunday's half marathon! Losing weight and streaking seems to have made me a faster runner. I'm hoping to PR this weekend. It's going to depend a lot on the weather...90% of the course is on the Talladega race track so there is zero shade. I'm going to try my best to get that PR!
