The Weekly Chase #87!

Happy Labor Day!!! I hope you are all enjoying a day off from work! And having fun celebrating the end of summer! We are headed to my sister's house for lunch today! I'm looking forward to family time for sure!

Speaking of the end of summer....that means it's time to get serious about that healthy lifestyle!!! Summer indulging is over and it's time to get back into the game of eating healthy and exercising! Today is also day 100 of my run streak!!! I cannot believe I have been running at least one mile every single day for 100 days!!! I think I'm going to keep going...for now. :-)

This weekend we spent lots of family time together! My Saturday started with an amazing 10 mile run that I will tell you about on Wednesday! The rest of the day was spent with the family! We went to lunch, to Lowe's for a part to fix our garage door, we got the oil changed in my van, and then I got to go shopping!!! Old Navy was having a sale and the hubby had told me the other day that I needed some shorts that fit me (mine were too big). So I took advantage and hit the sale! The store was pretty bare though. But I still found 4 pairs of shorts and a few shirts!!! The thing about being a smaller size now....those are the sizes that are always left and on sale! I got really nice shorts for work for $5! Score!!!

Sunday (after my run) we went to church. And then we went out to eat for lunch at Ruby Tuesday's. Did you know that they have "Fit and Trim" items on their menu? I got Hickory Bourbon Chicken with roasted spaghetti squash and fresh grilled zucchini! It was amazing and only 355 calories for the entire meal! :-)

Road Runner Girl

Here are my goals from last week!

  • Goal #1: Run every day! Yes! And I hit day 100 TODAY!!! :-)
  • Goal #2: Roll, stretch, ice daily. I missed a couple of days. But overall I did really well with this. I got my first ice pack burn this week though. I was icing my hip (for preventative measures) and was eating breakfast, drinking my coffee, and reading blogs. Well...I think I kept the ice pack on for too long. When I took it off my skin was frozen solid! It didn't take it long to defrost but then it was really red and warm to the touch. It really scared me. But luckily, the next day it was only pink. And it has gotten better each day. Now it itches some....which I've been told is part of the healing process. So watch that clock when you ice people!!!
  • Goal #3: Log and stay under all my calories this week. Yes!!! I stayed under this week but didn't eat as well. I had my weekly pizza on Friday night to fuel me for Saturday's 10 mile run. But on Saturday I ate out at Firehouse Subs AND Zaxby's. I had the calories for it but know I can't eat like that all the time. 
  • Goal #4: Get my September monthly calendar completed for school. Yep! I got this done yesterday! Nothing like waiting till the last minute lol!

Here's my plan for this week!

Goal #1: Run every day! Yes I think I'm going to keep the #RRGRunStreak alive! At least for this week. I think I will take it on a weekly basis.

Goal #2: Roll, stretch, ice daily. And I promise to watch the clock while icing this week!

Goal #3: Log and stay under all my calories this week. Gotta do well with this especially since I'm hosting another DietBet!

Goal #4: Limit my snacking at night. I have a bad habit of not snacking during the day but at night. I try to hit at least 1200 calories each day. Some nights after dinner I haven't made it to 1200 calories. So then I am snacking to reach that number so My Fitness Pal doesn't yell at me and tell me I'm starving myself lol! But I don't like eating snacks late at night and some nights I'm just not hungry after dinner. So I plan to eat an early afternoon snack and late afternoon snack and see how I do with that. 

That's my plan for this week! I'm excited it's a 4 day work week! Yay! Good luck with your goals this week too!
