Fitness Friday...May 6th Edition!

Happy Friday y'all! After today I only have two more weeks of teaching left until summer break!!! I can't believe summer is almost here!!!

I had a busy week. At preschool I was getting everything ready for our special Moms With Muffins celebration today.

At home I was busy getting gifts ready each day for the boys' teachers for teacher appreciation week!

And then there were the every week things like taking Sawyer to gymnastics, taking Hayden to art class, and taking Hayden to his Boy Scout meeting! Busy busy!

While Hayden was in art class this week, Sawyer and I went for a walk on the pier! We didn't get to walk long though because it started to rain! The rain made it a fun adventure!

When it was time to pick Hayden up he had done an amazing self portrait!!! He's so talented!!!

And I also have to brag on little boy scout! We finally got his uniform ready and he wore it for the first time at his meeting this week! So handsome!!!

Sawyer also got some great cuddle time with Cullen this week! Cullen normally does NOT let Sawyer hold him. When we first got Cullen Sawyer was little and was not the nicest to him. So Cullen never really trusted him. But now that Sawyer is getting older he and Cullen are forming a sweet relationship! So sweet!

And of course on Star Wars Day I HAD to dress the part!!! All my kiddos at preschool loved it too! And it made me seem like a really cool mom in front of my boys!!! ;-)

Sawyer and I also indulged in Starbucks Happy Hour this week! He tried the Smores Frappuccino (with no coffee of course) and loved it!

I also did pretty well with my food choices this week! I cooked every night but last night! I always make healthier choices when I cook at home!

But since yesterday was Cinco De Mayo we needed tacos for dinner! And we also wanted a free t-shirt! So we celebrated at Moe's Southwest Grill! Yummy!

Now it's time for Fitness Friday! I had some great runs this week! Some of my average paces were in the 7's!!! High 7's but hey it's still in the 7's!!!

  • Friday- #plankaday 2:05, 2.52 mile run in 20:02 average pace 7:56

  • Saturday- 6.21 mile run in 52:07 average pace 8:24
  • Sunday- 3.12 mile run in 24:59 average pace 8:01
  • Monday- #plankaday 2:05, 2.06 mile run in 16:38 average pace 8:04

  • Tuesday- #plankaday 2:05, 2.35 mile run in 18:49 average pace 8:01

  •  Wednesday- #plankaday 2:10, 2.12 mile run in 16:46 average pace 7:55

  • Thursday- #plankaday 2:05, 2.33 mile run in 18:32 average pace 7:58

Like I mentioned above my runs were great this week. I can tell it's almost summer though. There were a few days where it was really hot and the humidity was 100%. The last part of the week we were blessed with temperatures in the high 50's and low 60's and low humidity. That was so nice!!! I wish it could stay like that forever!

This weekend my plan is to run at least 6 miles on Saturday for my long run. I want 6 miles to be my base for the summer.

I hope you all have a great weekend! And to all the mothers out there...Happy Mother's Day!!!

QOTD: What was your favorite run or workout this week?
