The Weekly Chase #172!

Happy Monday y'all! And happy May! I can't believe it's already May! The countdown is on...only 3 weeks until Summer break!!! Yay!!!

This weekend was incredible! It started off on Friday night. I went to a women's conference with some of my friends from work....the Unique Conference. The theme was called "Shine" and it was an incredible weekend!

Friday night was great! We had a great time worshipping and listening to the guest speaker.

Then afterwards we enjoyed the after party where men dressed in black and white served us all kinds of yummy hor d'oeuvres!

Saturday morning I woke up pretty early so I could get in 6 miles before day 2 of the conference. It was soooo hot and humid during my run but I got it done! I'll tell you more about it on Wednesday.

After getting cleaned up Sawyer and I headed to my friend Erika's house. Sawyer was having a playdate with her daughter Lily while we went to the conference. He was so excited! And I was ready for day 2 of the Unique Conference! We took a few more posed pictures! I LOVE that they had all these photo ops for us!

We also got coffee while we waited on the doors to open.

Finally they opened the doors. We enjoyed worshipping again and listening to three more sessions of guest speakers.

During one of our breaks we enjoyed one of the other photo ops! Don't we look so cute???

Day 2 of the Unique Conference was incredible! And it ended with confetti and streamers falling! So much fun and such a blessing!!! I made sure to buy my ticket immediately for next year!

After the conference I picked up Sawyer. He had so much fun with his friend Lily and didn't want to leave!

But it was time to head to Hayden's Boy Scout event. His troop was participating in one of the local community events and they built a rope bridge. Sawyer enjoyed trying out the bridge and you can see Hayden in the background doing his job of walking beside the people as they crossed the bridge.

I also got to witness my sweet Boy Scout breaking down the bridge when the event was over. He was working so hard and I was so proud of him!

On the way home I stopped by Starbucks since it was half price frappuccinos! I got a coffee frappuccino for myself and Andy. I got the grande size since it was so close to dinner time.

That night we headed to The Brendel's house for a BBQ birthday celebration for Kirstin's parents. We enjoyed spending time with friends and eating some super yummy food. And shame on me because I didn't take one picture! :-(

Sunday morning I had a great 5K recovery run. Then it was off to church! The rest of the day was spent around the house. We needed a down day since the weekend had been so busy!

Now it's time for the Weekly Chase! It's a new week and I have new goals to achieve! I hope you will link up your own goals with me too! And feel free to use the badge below in your post too! You can grab the badge HERE! :-)

Road Runner Girl

Here are last week's goals!
  • Goal #1: Run every day! Yep! The streak is still going strong!
  • Goal #2: Roll, stretch, and ice daily. Yes!
  • Goal #3: Maintain my weight by logging my calories. 99%. I didn't log all my food on Saturday.
  • Goal #4: Move 11,000 steps or more each day this week. Yes!
  • Goal #5: Run at least 1 run under 2 miles. Yes!
  • Goal #6: Eat less calories each day. Yes! I've been really watching my food portions and calories and it's paying off.
  • Goal #7: Complete at least one page of the memory books this week. Yes!! I got several pages done this week!
  • Goal #8: Take at least one walk after dinner with my hubby. Well I took several after dinner walks this week but they were with my boys...not with my hubby. He had meetings or worked late every night this week so we didn't get to walk.

Here are the goals I'm chasing this week!

Every week goals:

Goal #1: Run every day!
Goal #2: Roll, stretch, and ice daily.
Goal #3: Maintain my weight by logging my calories.
Goal #4: Move 11,000 steps or more each day this week.
Goal #5: Run at least 1 run under 2 miles.

Goal #6: Eat less calories each day. I still want to keep this as a goal this week. It's helping me stay on track having less calories to log each day. It helps me watch how much and what I am eating.

Goal #7: Take at least one walk after dinner with my hubby. I want to try this again this week!

Goal #8: Complete my May calendar and memory books. I need to complete my May calendar (and last one of the school year) for the parents. I also hope to complete my memory books this week so that's off my plate and I can focus on preschool graduation.

So that's my plan this week! I hope you have a great week of accomplishing your goals!

QOTD: What goals are you chasing this week?
