This weekend was pretty laid back around here. Friday night was movie and pizza night around here. We watched Monsters University with the boys (it was still good the second time). After the boys went to bed the hubby and I watched The Heat. It was pretty funny but had some pretty bad language in it.
Saturday morning I woke up to my hubby shaking me and saying, "Wake up, wake up! I got Dunkin' Donuts!" The Dunkin' Donuts just recently opened in our area. It's been so crowded but my sweet hubby braved the lines to surprise me and the boys Saturday morning! So sweet!
The rest of Saturday was spent just lazing around the house. It was rainy and gloomy. We also watched the AWESOME Auburn vs. Georgia game! I'm so proud of my Auburn Tigers!
Sunday we went to church, out to lunch, and then had Cub Scouts meeting for the boys that afternoon. I also ran 2.5 miles...with no knee pain or tightness!!! :-)
We didn't do a whole lot this weekend but it was enjoyable!
It's now time for the Weekly Chase! I'm ready to tell you all about my goals for the week. I hope you will link up your own goals with me!
Here are my goals from last week and how I did with them!
- Goal #1: Follow run directions from Dr. Justin. Yes. He wanted me to run 2 miles this week. I ended up running 3 (oops) because the knee and hip were feeling good. Of course the knee started tightening up around mile 2.5.
- Goal #2: Roll, stretch, and ice daily. Yes!
- Goal #3: Learn features of my new phone. Yes! I've been having fun learning all the new features of my Samsung Galaxy S4! My sister has this same phone and has promised to give me tips on Thanksgiving!
- Goal #4: Enjoy the Veteran's Day Holiday with my boys. Yes! We didn't do anything...we just stayed home but we were in our PJ's until lunchtime! Then we had an accident. Hayden was jumping off the couch and hit his head on the corner of the coffee table. I thought we were going to have to make a trip to the ER but we didn't thank goodness!
Here are my goals for this week!
Goal #1: Follow run directions from Dr. Justin. He says the injuries are making progress. But he still hasn't let me run long. He only wants me to do about 2 miles at a time. We will see what he says for this week.
Goal #2: Roll, stretch, and ice daily. Doctor's orders!
Goal #3: Get everything ready for our Thanksgiving Feast at school. I still need to complete my class's pilgrim costumes. And we have to get their table decorations completed too.
That's it for the week. Nothing really new. I'm just focusing mostly on trying to heal from these injuries. I'm so ready to run consistently again! I'm starting to not feel like a runner! :-(
QOTD: What are your goals for this week?
