Fitness Friday...December 13th Edition!

Um...did anyone notice that today is Friday the 13th??? Spooky lol! Just kidding..I don't really believe in that stuff! ;-)

It's been a super busy week around here! I had my Christmas Program at school on Monday. My class did awesome! Then I've been busy getting all of their Christmas crafts and parent gifts done. Today we are wearing our PJ's and watching a Christmas movie and...Santa is coming to visit! It should be a fun day!

Last night I had my work Christmas party and the boys had their Cub Scouts Christmas party. It was a busy night! I'm looking forward to some down time this weekend! I think I am trying to catch up on my sleep from last weekend traveling to Memphis and back too. I've been so tired this week!

It's time for Fitness Friday! My runs have been nonexistent this week after running Sunday's half marathon. I've been working on recovering. I also had my last visit with Dr. Justin this week. He has released me from treatment. He said my knee feels great and my hips are aligned correctly! Yay! Hopefully that means I'll have pain free running for a while!



  • Saturday- Rest...was supposed to have run the St. Jude Half...but it was cancelled so we traveled home on this day.
  • Sunday- 13.1 miles in 2:31:30 average pace 11:34...since our race got cancelled we came home and ran our race at home for those St. Jude kids!
  • Monday- #plankaday 1:01
  • Tuesday- #plankaday 1:05
  • Wednesday- #plankaday 1:03
  • Thursday- #plankaday 1:07
  • Friday- #plankaday 1:00

So it was a good week of recovery. My legs feel great and I'm ready to run again! I'm planning on running about 5-8 miles this weekend. My next half is coming up in TWO WEEKS! I'm running The Biggest Loser Half Marathon in Panama City Beach! I'm super excited since I LOVE BL!
