On Wednesday morning it was "Walk to School Day." The school does this once a year but we have never participated because truthfully, I've just haven't made the time in the morning to do it. So this year I promised my boys we would do it. Our neighborhood is only a mile from the school. The meeting place to walk from was at the ballpark across the street from our neighborhood. So we literally just walked across the street to meet everyone and then walked the rest of the way to school. They made it really fun for the kids by having loud music and cheerleaders. The boys had fun...and we all got some exercise! Win, win! We will be participating each year from now on! ;-)
Now it's Fitness Friday time! I'm ready to tell you all about my runs this week! It was a great week of running! The moon was full and beautiful in the mornings this week. I even got to see the lunar eclipse blood moon one morning...super cool!

It was another great week of running! My streak is still going strong and I'm still loving it! I don't know when I will stop. Hopefully I will stay injury free. It's almost time for new shoes. I'm not feeling any aches or pains yet but I know they will happen soon. I'm debating on whether to go ahead and break in a new pair of shoes before next weekend's half marathon or to wear my current ones for the race.
Since I've made my weight loss goal, this week was about maintaining. I still logged everything I ate into My Fitness Pal. I haven't gotten close to the maintaining amount of calories it is telling me to eat though. Making healthier choices makes you eat less calories. It's a learning process just like it was when I first started the diet.
I'm hosting another DietBet starting October 27th...Road Runner Girl's Fall Into Shape DietBet! I hope you will join the game! It is such a fun way to lose weight!!! And winning money AND losing weight is awesome!!!
Tomorrow is my last long run before the Gulf Coast Half (you can still use the code ROADRUNNERGIRL to save $20 if you want to run this race with me!!!) next weekend. Andria and I are running 8 miles. Unfortunately it's hot again here so we won't have the nice fall weather we had last weekend. But hopefully it will be a great run!
I hope everyone has a great weekend!!!
