Woman's Half Marathon EXPO!

I have been looking forward to this race for a while. I was super excited to be a Run Pink Ambassador and promote this race that is for such a great cause!

We made it to Baton Rouge around noon the day before the race. We headed straight to the expo since it was closing at 3:00 due to the Christmas parade. I loved the entrance to the expo! I got excited as soon as I saw the sign displaying the logo for the race!

I knew that since this was the first year for this race that the expo wouldn't be that big. But I was surprised at all that they did have there. They had several races there (like the Rock 'n' Roll New Orleans Marathon...my first marathon). They had Dior there and we got to sample some perfume. Lauren from Race Day Books was also there! These books are amazing! The perfect Christmas gift for a runner and scrapbooker like me (hint, hint to anyone out there who needs gift ideas for me lol)!

After shopping we headed to pick up our bibs and race swag.

Packet pick up was super easy and very organized. And the race swag was amazing! We got an awesome bag with the race logo on it!

We got some super cute Run Pink sunglasses that Larisa and I had fun modeling for you!

The shirts were awesome! I did hear a few complaints about the shirts being small but mine fit fine. I distinctly remember during registration them saying the shirts were a women fit cut so I ordered a size up. I'm glad I did! Here I am trying my shirt on...on top of the shirt I was wearing!

Another thing that I was super excited about was that we were getting FREE digital photography the day of the race! And Brightroom was the photographers so I knew the pictures would be good! You know how I love my pictures! And they said the pictures will be free every year for this race! Yes!

We took a few more pictures with our race bibs and then came another fun part of the expo!

See that big pink board behind us? Well it had every runner's name written on it! It was so much fun finding our names!!!

Another thing I found at the expo....the day 8 #Holidayaday photo challenge prompt was "tree." I found this huge tree at the expo that became my photo for that day!

I had a great time at the expo! We had a late lunch at a restaurant called the Capitol City Grill. I had the Club Sandwich and it was amazing!

After lunch we walked around downtown Baton Rouge for a while until it was time to head to the Santa Run.  I don't know what this building was but I loved it! It was beautiful and I took a few pictures of it from different sides.

Come back tomorrow to read my race recap for the Woman's Half Marathon!

And it's time to announce the winner of the Pro Compression Giveaway! Thanks so much to all who entered! I was absolutely blown away with how many entries I received!!! Thank you!!! And the winner is...
