We've had a pretty low key week. It has rained several times and that has put a damper on things. We did get to eat lunch with my sister Christy this week. After lunch we went to Michael's Crafts to get my Sawyer some new Rainbow Loom bands (he's obsessed). They had their collage frames on sale 50% off! I bought this really neat one for some of my San Francisco pictures! I can't wait to get it put together and hung on the wall!
I also got new running shoes this week! My hip started hurting and that's my sign that it's time for a new pair of shoes. I got the same model Asics that I always get...the GT 2000 2! I LOVE my Asics! I've worn them for years and they are the only shoe that works for me so I keep on buying them! I liked the neon yellow so much last time that I got that same color again! :-) Here they are all set with my Lock Laces (which are amazing if you have trouble with your laces coming untied mid run) and Shubeez!
My sister Christy and I went to a Young Living Essential Oils class last week and my sister bought some oils. They came in this week so we experimented with a few! I wanted to use one on my sore hip. Panaway was the first one that came to mind but the directions said to dilute it and Christy didn't have another oil to dilute it in. So instead I chose Frankincense. And it definitely helped! I may be looking into these oils more. Does anyone use them?

The running went great this week! My legs have felt really strong this week. But...my right hip started hurting a little after my fast 5K on Monday. I think it's time to slow down some since I've started officially training for my next half marathon. I also looked at my shoe mileage and it was time for new shoes. So I got those ordered asap and received them on Thursday. Hopefully they help the hip calm down some. My hip always hurts around this time every year...it's so weird! Usually new shoes help. I'm not ready to stop streaking yet but if the hip gets worse I will listen.
The weight loss went great this week! I'm right on track with my 1 pound a week goal! My DietBet started this week too! I'm running my long run tomorrow at the beach! My training plan calls for 5 miles but I may do 6 depending on how I feel.
