The Weekly Chase

I came across this idea by Melissa at Live, Love, and Run and just knew I wanted to be a part of it.  She is starting something called The Weekly Chase where bloggers connect with each other and help each other reach our goals.  Every week bloggers will post one or more goals that they want to achieve for the week.  These can be goals about anything...not just fitness related.  I believe setting goals is so important in not only fitness but all aspects of your life.  SO please join The Weekly Chase!!!

 
Goal #1: Do a plank a day.  I really want to work on my core and I've read that the plank is one of the best exercises for that.  Plus it will go right along with the 30 day ab challenge that I'm already participating in.
 
Goal #2: Do not eat anything after 8PM.  I have a bad habit of wanting to eat something sweet (or anything for that matter) after my boys go to bed.  I consider that "me time" and for some reason I seem to think that incorporates eating.  I'm never hungry at this time...so really there is no reason for it!

    I LOVE your #1 goal...the plank has become my best friend. I feel that move in every inch of my body, and I'm slowly making it a constant, every day part of my routine.

    #2? Well...let me tell ya...I think I may have FINALLY broken that habit. It's been years and years of eating past 8PM and snacking out of boredom at night. I even got to the point where I was snacking the moment I got home from work, and it wouldn't stop until bed. (My dad has the same issue...I swear it's genetic. lol)

  3. One of my goals too this week is to continue my plank a day! So good for you! Not eating after 8pm - that's really ambitious - at least in my world it would be. Can't wait to hear how it goes next week!

  6. I love this! My goals for the week are:

    #1. Attend 2 power lift classes and complete all of my runs for the week. Do better stretching.

    #2. Find a low Cal menu for next week and prepare my shopping list.

    #3. Make 2 workout tanks from t-shirts!

  7. I love the no snacking after 8pm! We call it closing the kitchen and I do it after dinner :). That means unless I have planned a dessert or snack, I can't go there.

  8. These are great goals! My goals are to swim at least once this week and to do my physical therapy exercises every day. I'm also trying to remember to do a plank a day which I will usually do if I remember to do my PT exercises :-)

  9. Those are both great goals! I try to do a plank every other day, but every day is even better. :) My goal this week is to get practice swims in before my first tri, eek! Thanks for entering my giveaway, too... glad to connect with you!
